We recently stayed at the hotel as guests with a wedding held at the hotel. On arrival it took two people about 10 minutes to check us in, which meant we had little time to get ourselves sorted before the wedding. However, the room and view more than made up for this. I can now say that I've had a bath whilst overlooking the stunning countryside of the Czech Republic and Austria in the distance (the bath was in the bedroom - the room also had an en-suite shower room)!||||The staff working in the hotel were on the younger side but, unlike previous reviewers, we didn't notice this to be a problem. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the sauna. The service was invariably perfect. If you like wine, wineries and vineyards, you will be in your element. The vineyards as well as the nearby forests in the Thaya valley were exquisite colours in October and the nearby historical towns- Znojmo in Czechia and Retz in Austria - are welcoming and also quite pretty. One of the most beautifully located hotels in Czechia...
