Attention, many letters! I like an old building and enjoy beauty of architecture. But I prefer to stay in a new and modern hotels. As this Golf hotel should be. Actually its really still new hotel, but there are plenty BUT! Starting that it looks cheap! Secondly - cooperayoon. No response to pre-arrival e-mail with requests (not from reception or reservation). Then I had to make a call. Reservation didt respond. Lady from reception by phone was careless. And actually my call was useless as well, as nothing what I asked (double bed and quite room) was mentioned in our profile. Terrible check in. No customer sevice attitude at all. They gave a room with a strong smoking smell (and its not smoking hotel), and they were saying that its impossible as there are detectors. Quite room for them - its in front of lift. Married couple had to stay in a room with 2 beds. Yes, its possible to move it and make it together, but at least it should be a topper of mattress to make a comfortable sleep. As you can understand, it was nothing. Blanked was also narrow. So romantic togetherness for 3 days was completely vanished, its exactly what we were not looking for. Sleeping quality is terrible - mattresses are extremely soft, you are sinking inside it. So in the morning is a heaviness in a back. Double room is quite small, you feel like you are squeezed, maybe its coz of heaviness of dark yellow colour. There is nothing call there as sound proof, you can hear so nicely what is going on around-next rooms or at corridor. Hotel located, I guess, not far away from airport, so very frequent flight's hum is available. Black out curtains - transparent, there is no darkness and in the morning a lot of light. Working desk with a sharp angle - so person who is sleeping beside window will get a bruise for a memory for a hotel. Bath room is also for midgets, everything is so tiny. But what I like in the room - shower! Its only one enjoyable things in a room! Water is quickly getting warm, good preasure of water. Amazing tropical shower. Ah, also its nice how they organize a wardrobe things. Key from room was not working by next day, when you had a walk for all day and have to go to reception to activate it - its quite irritating. There is no drinkable water in the room, as well no bath-robs. No view, as windows facing each other. No balcony, just windows. Ah, Internet was good! Breakfast gave a mixed feeling. Nice variety! I enjoyed it. Just it was over-overcrowded and there is no enough space between tables. Again feel squeezed. So at one day we waited a free table for 40 mins, and then stayed in a queue to get a food for 15 mins. Parking is outside and payable. Hotel located is in the middle of nowhere in 30 mins away from city center by tramway. To summarize all above, sadly that our short holiday was somehow destroyed by that hotel. I wish I read more carefully reviews before booking it. Definitely i dont recommended at all! Its not relaxing and...
Read moreA good clean hotel with good access to city centre and surrounding relevant areas, good facilities. However, some of the downsides were being greeted very abruptly by a receptionist who seemed to be having a bad day! (Not good when you are on the front line of a customer based business!!). Also bar/ restaurant staff very very abrupt and quite rude on nearly every time we ate or drank there, as travelling brits I do understand we have a generally a poor reputation at times especially when it comes to drink but this seems to pre empt every visit! When asked for service we were often told to wait as they were busy, (we never once demanded but politely asked every time!) When it was time to pay the bill the card machine was shoved under our noses and the first words from them was "how much you tip us"! Not what I was expecting, especially as they decided to tip themselves at one point as my friend paid!! So I feel they really really let down the establishment with their terrible customer service (or lack of it!). They also had Philippine (I think) girl working for them, she was so sweet and always smiling and happy to serve us, but noticeably treated very badly by the native staff, I couldn't help but feel very sorry for her as they clearly didn't seem to like her (ironically the only person to give good service seemed to be penalalised by her piers for doing so!!).|Anyway I must pay great tribute to the staff serving in the breakfast room. we were always greeted with a cheery smile and great courtesy by the (I think Philippine again) lady, always pleasant and courteous towards us, and I will say the breakfast was an absolute treat every morning a good selection of every type of breakfast you could pretty much imagine. So to sum up a good hotel let down by very poor staff that could do with some customer service training to...
Read moreI travel about 2 weeks a month and this is probably the first time I am writing such negative review, but the level of service in this hotel is unimaginable. We booked this hotel for my Management team's strategy session together with a meeting room where to hold these discussions. My team flew in from 5 countries, 3 continents. On the day of our arrival our HR went with the hotel employee to check out the meeting room to make sure everything is fine. Their employee barely spoke English, but from the poor English it seemed all is ok. In the next morning, 10 minutes before our sessions started I wanted to set up my computer and asked for the access for the meeting room. They took us there and in the room there were complete strangers. We asked who are these people, the answer was: "Your colleagues." Long story short their employee had made a mistake in the booking process and there was no meeting room for us.
So how did they solve it? A manager was called in and when I told the manager: "Do you understand that I am CEO of a company and my team flew in from 5 countries to start a meeting that should happen in 7 minutes." The response was: "BE QUIET!" We were yelled at about the fact that we expected them to solve this and find us a room (even a big bedroom with a screen taken there would have been ok). Instead I was insulted and yelled at. The next morning when I was doing a check out (to go to an amazing hotel nearby VISTA resort & club to continue our strategy session) I overhead a discussion between an American lady and the receptionists. The American lady said she fund bugs in her bed and wants to change the room. The receptionist responded that they are fully booked and can't help.
That pretty much summarises the experience in this hotel. It was a disgrace to even call it a...
