I was picked up at the airport as prearranged before hand by the||wonderful Mr. Duldash,a young man with fantastic hosting skills that ||helped me through my entire stay.He speaks fluently Czech and ||Russian as well as very good English.||Without him I would have been lost and my trip may be only half good.||My room # 13 has a pretty view, very quiet and a nice modern ||bathroom with stall shower.Fluffy towels and crisp bed linens.||Breakfast always very abundant with delicious cold cuts, assorted bread,||good cereals, fruits, sweet cakes or donuts and good tasty coffee and teas.||The food in the restaurant is great, sort of what you would eat in a typical||Czech home. I loved the chicken schnitzel with mashed potatoes, home ||made soups and crisp fresh salads.||Everybody I came in contact in the hotel was extremely pleasant and||willing to help. ||Although the location is away from the noisy crowded expensive center||of Prague the peace and quiet of the area and affordable rates make this ||hotel a great place to stay. Very good for families with children but since it||doesn't have a lift not so good for handicapped people.||Trains run about a hundred feet away with an station right there out of view||from the hotel and you can be in the center of town in about 15 to 20|| minutes.A taxi ride is very inexpensive and much quicker.||Beware of taxi drivers, they love to overcharge tourist! Have the hotel call AAA Taxi with a preset fare price ( add the tip if you like him of course).||The entire hotel has been freshly painted and has a pub at the entrance||where smoking is allowed (and believe me, smoking is rampant in central Europe||even in most restaurants and public areas.||This hotel offers smoke free rooms thankfully.||I will return in August or September when the weather is...
Read moreI did not recommend this "Hotel" for anybody!
We have had a reservation in last year and i have wrote an e-mail to confirm the reservation. I did not received anything in the following week, after then i have talked to the mediator company, who give us an answer in the following days. After almost 6 hours of travel, we have arrived at the Hotel. We have asked at the receptionist about our room, who did not understand our English and was very rude. He has just thrown to us our keys and did not said anyting. If we asked about something, he played the fool. The rooms were dirty and unclean. The Bathroom stinked like a sewer, we have seen the previous guests hair in the washbasin. The door was so bad, that if somebody would lightly kicked it in he would be easily in our room. On the next day we eaten the breakfast, what was not bad regarding the experiences so far, yet the diner was a big disaster. We have talked with the bartender, that we have payed for it and what is menu. He did not speak english or german, he did not understand us. With great effort he brought out an onion like soop and a stew like food with bread. The soup was so bad, that we have left it on our table. The stew is a strong definition for 4 tiny pieces of meat in a big dish, with wet bread. We have had an extra beer tasting with 4-5 kinds of beer. I have talked to the bartender, who said "Pay for it". For what? A free beer taste that was in the coupon? With a big effort he served us 1 pints of beer. On the last day the receptionist was very unfriendly to us.
If there could an option 0 i would give it to this place, because the 1 star rating is also too good for it. Next time i will rather pay more for another...
