Edelsminde Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in Faxe Municipality

A very nice and cosy place, out in the beautiful countryside, very near to the castle. There are 6 rooms available some very nice, others just basic. I guess the price is different for each. I do not know about the prices because I was on Sjælland for a job and the employer provided us with accommodation.

So, it's great for a family getaway, lovely landscape and very quiet area. Kitchen/dining room is quite nice and offers all that you need. The B&B is basically like you would expect a home to be: one kitchen, 6 rooms for sleeping (mine had only beds, nothing else, no desk, no chair), 2 restrooms (toilet and sink) and ONE bathroom (shower in the tub, but no plug for the tub, and a sink). Some rooms have their very own sink, but nothing else. In other words, unlike some B&B in other countries, the rooms do not have their own bathroom/toilet.

Also on the downside, since it's very important to me, Wi-Fi is free, but it is very very bad! Connection keeps dropping or it just runs very very slow. I have a Danish Sim card and data plan, but GSM signal in the area is very low.... I had evenings coming back from work and not being able to even check my email.

Otherwise, it's an awesome place...And you will have a great night here, especially if the neighbours are not as loud as some...

We've been meaning to start an account for a while, but this was the catalyst :) ||Edelsminde Bed & Breakfast! Where to begin with this magical place? The breathtaking property, the charming owners, the delicious breakfast... ||We arrived extremely late (like 1:30 a.m. after a mishap traveling from Copenhagen), but the hosts stayed up and gave us a friendly welcome and very comfortable beds in sweetly decorated rooms. We slept like kings. (Assuming kings sleep well? I'm sure they must!)||After traveling all over Europe for a full month, we can safely say this was the best breakfast of the trip. Warm homemade bread (the bread!!), marmalade, granola... fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, cheese, soft-boiled eggs.... And the hosts were bright and chipper, even after having waited up for us and making earlier rounds of breakfast for other guests. ||The cherry on top, of course, was the poodle pup Jazz, who is too cute to event attempt to describe. The only thing we would change would be staying longer than the one night! If only we didn't have a...

We attended one friend's konfirmation party in this area, so stayed 2 nights at Edelsminde B&B. This B&B is decorated in Danish style, which is completely different from the normal concept of B&B. I can feel the owner couple is full of efforts to make this B&B unique. ||||The B&B is very clean, and the room is big and nice, bed is comfortable. The breakfast is awesome, which is home-made by owner. The surrounding area is so beautiful, worthy taking a walk. ||||If total score is 100, I would give 99. Only one missing is regarding hot water in the morning. When i had shower, there is no more hot water, i then had to using cold water. I guess it's a problem if more guests using hot water in the morning. Hopefully it could improve soon. ||||Overall, it's satisfied stay...
