Nysted Strand Camping — Hotel in Guldborgsund Municipality

Badly maintained...||- Road very potholed|- Servicebuildings need a good clean, to remove all dead and alive creatures|- Bin areas clearly inadequat for the size of the campground (trailer full of binbags sitting there for a couple of days)|- Kitchen, too small to be functional for the amount of things crammed into it|- Laundry room, only 1 sink for handwashing of clothes, and no space around it. Several payable washing mashines.|- generally dirty feeling about the services buildings, despite a regular cleaner going around. Random selection of different taps, showerheads and holes in doors from different locks|- no water connections on any of the plots (as far as we could tell)|- family wash facilities available, but this is the norm on danish campsites|- communal room and kitchen completly disconnected and in different buildings, which seems to undermine the spirit of family camping|- the "Strand" also feels very dirty and uncared for. There is a beach volley ball court which has plants growing on it.||- nearest supermarket is about 40 min walk away, maybe 15 on a bike. The campsite itself has shelf of products available. If you only need milk/butter/eggs thats ok. There is fresh bread available if you order the night before.||If you are travelling with small kids, they might have fun on the cars and playground.|If you are a couple of older people it could be ok.|If you have teens with you, make sure their phones are fully charged, but be aware that the WiFi is very bad.||Much too expensive for the...

We stayed for two days with a toddler in the smallest cabin they have, it's a fine price and has four beds, kitchen and nice porch. The larger cabins/cottages they have looked super nice and luxurious, newly built. ||Lots of stuff to do here, be it day trips or just playing around within the compound (a rabbit, communal barbecue, big playground, nice shop, bicycles and so on). Nysted Town seems very old and slow paced, not that much to do there, but perfect for a relaxing stroll and picturesque with its old houses and Harbour||Camping site is very close to the beach. Owner and service in general is as good as you can get, you feel very welcome here and they will help you with everything....

Nice place but very quite, next to that my laundry got stuck a couple of times in the washing machine due to malfunctioning. When I went to the owners they were very rude and said it was my problem so I had to pay extra and extra to get my wash dry and otherwise I had to get the water out with my hands this while I already paid. Next to that barbecue they host were we paid good money for only had sausages and some dried out bread when we arrived 15 minutes later then the starting time. When asking if there would be more meat what they promised the owners got very irritated again and made a scene in front of all the others guests and asked if we were stupid. At least the...
