We had an excellent stay with our camper and 3 year old, near the playground and also the big wide grass field is nice. It was a little walk up and down to the toilet facilities but the family rooms here are worth it! Also wasmachine and good other things around, even an kitchen with big ovens!
The beach is a 30 min forrest walk from campsite. This campsite was very disappointing and is also expensive compared to what you get for it and fellow campsites. Reception is very limited open even in high season, no bread service, the canteen is poor, the campsite is full of permanent caravan places but there are no people, not even in high season, this gives a bit of a graveyard feeling. Fortunately, there are enough alternatives to be found...

Uitstekende camping aan de oostkust van Denemarken. Vriendelijke ontvangst en mooie layout van het terrein. Weinig beschutting, maar wel mooie plaatsen. Sanitair en faciliteiten zijn uitstekend en schoon en worden uitstekend onderhouden. Hornbaek is een leuk dorpje en doet denken aan de kleinere badplaatsen in NL. Er gaat een schitterend mooi gravel fietspad door de duinen naar Helsingor (kasteel). De treinverbinding vanaf Hornbaek halte Karinebæk St. is ook uitstekend en goedkoop. Kaartjes zijn in de trein via een automaat verkrijgbaar. Beste supermarkt hier is Superbrugsen. Voldoende restaurants.
Excellent campsite on the east coast of Denmark. Friendly welcome and beautiful layout of the site. Little shelter, but beautiful places. Facilities are excellent and clean and well maintained. Hornbaek is a nice village and is reminiscent of the smaller seaside resorts in Netherlands. There is a beautiful near dunes cycle path to Helsingor (castle). The train connection from Hornbaek - Karinebæk St. is also excellent and cheap. Tickets are available on the train through a machine. The best supermarket here is Superbrugsen. Sufficient...
