Hotel Bretagne — Hotel in Helsingør Municipality

My husband & I stayed here for 5 days when visiting family & friends. Convenient to the train, bus, etc. The hotel is charming with sitting rooms, decks, lake view, easy access to walking path around the lake, bikes for rent, ...I could go on & on. We are "seniors" & walked to the harbor & downtown several times. The weather was warm (for Denmark) when we were there & our room was on the 3rd floor so it got a bit warm, but with all the areas in the hotel it was never an issue. We never used the gym / spa. One of the highlights was the breakfast. Fresh breads, fruits, cold cuts, egg dishes, cereals, yogurts, juice, coffee, tea, waters infused with spearmint, lemon, etc. Too many things to list, but it was delicious. Pia was there bright & early with a smile, asking if everything was to our liking, offering us samples of, or asking what we thought of something she may try the next day or later in the week. She was friendly, a great reference for directions & what to do in the area, & a pleasure to talk with. Vicki, at the front desk, was also very helpful. One warm day we wanted to sit on the deck, but there was no shade...she went out of her way to get a huge umbrella that shaded several lounges, tables & chairs. Then she brought us a pitcher of ice water & glasses. Excellent customer service. Thank you. I would recommend...

I arrived to this hotel as my base to visit some touristic attractions as Louisiana Museum , Kronborg castle, etc. The hotel is beautiful, very pleasantly designed, near a small lake that can be seen from the dining room. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. I took the single room ( which I usually do not book) as it was big enough. From the moment I walked in I felt very welcomed and got very good and professional service from all the staff members. I had dinner at the hotel ' and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and also the wine menu that accompanied it . The first evening I took the fix menu ( they have 2 choices ) and every dish was delicious. The second evening , I dinned 'A la carte' and asked to receive a recipe from the chef ( they gave it to me ) of the meshed potato. ( one of the best I ever had ) ||The breakfast was also excellent with great choices, very good and personal service ||2 small things: they charge money for the espresso at breakfast , the room do not have air condition, as I was in September it didn't really matter.||||Highly recommended , thank you...

We travelled up from Copenhagen by car and spent two nights. Very happy with our room. The hotel sits on a lovely lake and is super quiet. The staff were always happy and friendly so perfect ten with this. Breakfast was part of our rate and was also great. In our room we were given two decanters with some cognac and whisky complimentary. I am not really a spirit person but we enjoyed a couple of glasses. Never had this before. Bed was comfy. No coffee machine in your room but they make a great cup with breakfast downstairs. They is a kettle and tea bags in the room. ||We stayed in February and it was cold out but this place would be great in warmer months sitting outside with views of the lake. ||||Wifi was very good but we did not try the restaurant at night. It had a good menu. First night we arrived they were booked out so you should book ahead if you are interested in earring here. There is a supermarket just down the road if you want to stock up.
