My husband and I checked into their site on June 23, 2011. We were in a tent. Unfortunately, the weather was really bad; so much that the wind kept shaking our tent stakes out of the ground and the tent kept collapsing on us. As much as we tried to deal with it, we had no other option but to pack up our tent and leave the campsite at 3am.||||We were unable to get out of the campsite because there was a locked gate. So, we called the owner who finally let us out.||||The next morning when we returned to pay our fees, etc., the owner was very rude and unprofessional, yelling at us for leaving at 3am and waking her up.||||We explained what happened, and apologized for the inconvenience, but she said we should have slept in our car or in the bathroom. I have never heard of such a thing in my life! Especially being I am pregnant!||||Being locked in was never explained to us, or posted in writing anywhere, as we would have never accepted to stay at a location where we are held like prisoners.||||This is a very unsafe and it is an unacceptable situation to be locked in at night without being able to leave in case of emergencies. We have camped in many sites in Denmark for many years, and we have never had this problem with any DK campsites before.||||And I can't believe that an owner of a campsite would be so rude to complain to customers for bothering them. if they don't like to have to deal with customers they should not be in the customer service profession.||||There are more friendly campsites with nicer restrooms in the near vicinity that I would recommend over this place. Stay far away from this...
Read moreFirst I have to say that the location of this campsite is great. Close to the small town Løkken and only a two minute walk from the beach.||Both my fiancé and I have grown up spending our summers in Denmark, so we know quite a bit about the weather and climate on the west coast of North Jylland. ||||Unfortunately we arrived on a unusually warm and calm summer day and didn´t really think twice when putting up our tent. The campsite is divided up in sections, with wooden fences between each row. We choose to set up our tent on the row closes to the beach, but this is quite an open spot since there is no fence between you and the ocean. So to make a long story short, by 15pm the next day our tent had collapsed because of the wind. So when choosing a spot here, beware of the weather changes and make sure you have a strong tent.||||Amenities are small, but clean. Also be aware that the gate closes at night, so it's difficult to leave in if anything happens.||||I've stayed at better campsites in the area, but the location really makes this...
Read moreThis is a beautifully situated campsite! On our visit it was very windy but it didn’t affect our stay at all. Although other reviews have said the washing facilities were ‘outdated’ - this maybe true but they were kept very clean. The owners were more than welcoming and couldn’t have been more friendly. They were also very accommodating with us regarding spending Euros when we didn’t have any krones. The pitches were generous and plenty of access to fresh water. There was a short walk down down a metal staircase to stunning beach and my husband found a secluded picnic bench where he could enjoy a solitary cup of tea over looking the immense view! Thank you for...
