Jørgensens Hotel — Hotel in Horsens Municipality

4 stars for the decor. Beautifully restored and renovated hotel in the heart of Horsens walking street. Our room, which was in the newer part of the original hotel was sadly very basic. No information AT ALL provided in the room regarding meals, timings, history etc. We had no clue when breakfast was being served to and from and no phone to call anyone for information. No tea or coffee facilities. No complimentary water. Zero. There where bathroom amenities thank goodness. But I would have expected more than zero in the room for a 4* hotel. Nice carpet however. Service and confusion is where I score 3 stars. They have a beautiful wine bar, possibly the nicest space in the hotel, but it was sadly ‘closed’. Not sure why but I imagine it’s was from a lack of personal. Therefore the only option for drinking and dining was in the cellar, possibly the least impressive and soulless space in the hotel. I will rate the food as very good and the staff in the restaurant as doing their best given they needed more support. Overall I’d eat there again. I wish they’d open the wine bar and have it function as a bar on a regular basis. I wouldn’t overnight there again and they need to teach the reception staff to be more welcoming and...

The location is amazing, pretty much the center of everything and a very short walk from the train station. The room was very clean and just the right size for my trip. Those reviews about the bathroom being small are worthless. It's a very old building refitted with modern amenities, the bathroom is small, modern, and perfectly functional. Maybe that person is just oversized, at the very least they are not well traveled. Breakfast was excellent, a good variety and great quality. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I loved how quiet my room was, I'm a very light sleeper so quiet and dark are a must. The only thing I didn't like was there is no guest wifi where you eat breakfast in the basement. Also, when I went to eat breakfast on Saturday there were many empty tables but only 2 that didn't have dirty plates on them. Might need more staff to clean tables at breakfast. This Hotel is a wonderful building very beautiful . The service is very low , frankly speaking they are not interested , no welcome no how was your stay or have a nice day , nobody say hello or good morning strange to see this .no tel in the room to call in the evening nobody is there . Very small bathroom , we had incl breakfast which it was really nothing , only a lovely women she gave me every morning eegs . the manager should travel more outside Horsens to see other International Hotels..its shame to pay during the breakfast €7,50 for espresso , or you had to drink with breakfast coffee which it was ditch water , with 2 paracetamols .
