Grenaa Strand Camping - Djursland — Hotel in Norddjurs Municipality

We just finished one week in our family tent at Grenaa Strand Camping. A very nice first time experience. The camping site is very big, but we were amazed how respectful the campers and staff were when it comes to noise and keeping the site tidy and nice. The service buildings are well maintained and reasonably clean at all times. The staff is also very friendly and helpful, keeping a keen eye on the campers well being. We are sure this is the key to the well functioning of such a big site.

Our kids aged 3 and 6 found everything they could wish for: Very nice playgrounds, a busy but clean heated swimming pool, visit from the local fire brigade and the following water fight, and the beach 5 mins walk from the site, easily accessible and very child friendly.

Also kudos to Brian and the onsite shop and ice cream parlour Brians Biks. Fresh bread rolls of all sorts in the morning and excellent ice cream.

Big camp site in beautiful surroundings close to the sea. The tall trees between the site and the sea blocks a lot of the wind. The whole establishment is well thought through, as there are facilities pretty close by regardless which spot you occupy. The buildings are new, and they do a good job keeping it all clean. The WIFI has good coverage on the entire site. We spent an entire day on site due to there being so much to do. There are multiple playgrounds for the kids, including a giant pirate ship! A very big and very children oriented camping ground. Check in is inside a sharks mouth, we walked right past thinking this was a children’s area. We don’t have children but have a dog. The place we got was very good, large and had hedges around us, so despite the size we felt we had privacy. The beach was fantastic and lots of walking tracks in the forest which was great for us. Shower, toilet and washing up facilities were great, all new and included in the price. Not a 5 because there were not enough toilets, had to stand in line in the morning and not enough hot water to wash up and shave with. But.... despite these things, a place I would...
