Hotel Grenaa - Havlund — Hotel in Norddjurs Municipality

Stayed here with family to go to Djurs Sommerland, and happened to choose the same weekend as Denmark's biggest beach party. There were people everywhere in Grenaa, and our room faced the road. We thought we would never sleep, but unbelievably enough, we had a very quiet and comfortable night.||||The hotel looked abandoned and run down, when we came driving towards it and stopped at the parking lot "behind" the hotel. But after finding the entrance, the reception was actually rather nice, and the lady working there was welcoming and helpful.||||The room was very basic, and the bathroom looked as if it was from the 1950s. But the beds were comfortable and the road outside was quiet. Breakfast was good. We choosed this hotel for its location and we were not disappointed: we had only to cross the dune to reach the 7 km sand and kid friendly beach. We had a spacious 4 beds rooms for the family, including a kitchen. We stayed only one night there but it was a pleasant experience. It is small but very clean and cozy.The best part was Louise. She is this lovely woman that , I suppose, manages this Hotel. Very friendly and cooperative. She was not there as we arrived but we handled things over the phone and we got a room for one night 100 euros for 2 people.
