What's great: We had a nice dinner at the bistro. The food was good and the staff was friendly and attentive.
Ok: The room was clean and modern, though there was an odd smell, likely coming from the bathroom sink.
Here's my problem: If you are a family with children, you might want to reconsider choosing this establishment for your stay. Numerous signs indicate a strict policy of barring children from the spa after 18:00. We experienced this firsthand when our eager daughter, who had been looking forward to the spa experience during our lengthy six-hour drive, was unfortunately left disappointed. The spa was one of the main reasons why we booked this hotel, making the disappointment even more profound.
Such policies, which seem rather anti-children in nature, leave a sour taste. The underlying message suggests children are simply sources of disturbance, which is truly disheartening.
This approach not only tarnishes the image of the establishment, but also indirectly contributes to a broader societal problem. Such anti-children policies can fuel an unwelcoming atmosphere for families in public spaces, further perpetuating the idea that children are inherently disruptive. This can hinder a child's social development and opportunities for new experiences, like enjoying a spa in this instance.
Moreover, these policies may also discourage parents from bringing their children to a variety of public venues, leading to a loss of shared family experiences. It’s important that we foster inclusive environments that embrace the exuberance and curiosity of children, rather than excluding them.
While establishments should certainly maintain standards and rules to ensure comfort for all guests, it’s equally vital to adopt policies that encourage and respect the presence of families and children, recognizing their right to participate and enjoy public spaces just as any...
Read moreChildren are definitely not wanted guests in this hotel so I recommend all families to search for another hotel! Especially if you are staying only one night in this hotel as we did. Check in time starts from 14:00 pm and the pool time for children stops at 18:00 pm. In the morning children are allowed to the pool only after 10:30 am, which is after the checkout time. This means children cannot go to the pool in the morning during one night visit! And that you have to plan your trip so that you arrive in the hotel during early afternoon so that there’s enough time to go to the pool. We were very disappointed and the hotel didn’t want to find a way for the kids to go to the pool. The Family Rooms are also located in a separate building which is outdated and you can hear all the smallest noises of the neighbours. This stay was a complete waste of money for us because we only booked the hotel because of the pool. And yes, it says in the hotel website the time that children are allowed, but it should ne noted more clearly that the morning times are only after check out. Best choice for the hotel would to just announce that this is adults only hotel. Oh wait, now I know why they haven’t done so -they would lose all the money coming from families...
Read moreTitle: Extremely Unprofessional and Unhelpful Reception StaffRating: My recent stay at this hotel was severely marred by the unprofessional and inattentive behavior of the reception staff, particularly the young women at the check-in desk. Here are the key issues we faced:Insistence on Payment for a Prepaid Room: Despite having paid for our room in advance, we were repeatedly asked to make a payment upon arrival at 2:30 PM. This was not only inconvenient but also highly unprofessional.Delayed Delivery of Luggage: Even though our luggage had arrived and was stored in the hotel's baggage room, it was only delivered to us at 6:30 PM. This left my family and me in our sportswear for four hours. We had to show an email confirming the luggage delivery before they bothered to check and finally give us our bags.Lack of Information: Upon check-in, we received no information about the location of our room, how to get there, the services offered by this beautiful establishment, or the breakfast timings. This level of service is unacceptable as it tarnishes the reputation of what could otherwise be a wonderful place to stay. The management needs to address the competence and professionalism of the reception staff...
