We had a terrible experience at this hotel. The only positive thing I can say is about the locality. If you are passing through the city and need to be close to the airport, this hotel will be a 7-8 minute drive away. The metro line is also available one block away. It is the salvageable of all this However, be careful with the size of the room because it is something super small for 2 people. They also did not have air conditioning in the room so in summer it is difficult to sleep in those hot rooms. the bathroom is absolutely small and here comes the worst of my experience. We had to get up at 3:00 am because we had an international flight at 7:00 am. when we went to bathe, the shower hose that comes out of the sink, which is the one they use to bathe because they don't have a normal shower space, didn't work. At that time I walked to the lobby in search of help, because the room did not have a phone, however, there was no one. Therefore, look for the phone number of the hotel in Google to call. I spent roaming my phone in the United States to be able to establish a call and communicate. The person answers, asks twice if I'm in the right hotel because they have several in their hotel chain. When I assure him that yes, I am in that same hotel, the man explains that the shower to bathe has to come from the sink hose. Seeing my insistence that it was not working in the way he explained it, the man went to my room and verified that it was not working and nobody could bathe.
At this point it had already been over 30 minutes. The man looking for alternative solutions at that time gets a room 2 floors below, and he will give me the key so that I can go bathe at 3:30 am. I took my clothes, my toiletries (because they don't even have soap to use) and I went out in my pajamas to find the bathroom in the other place and bathe. At this point, my husband, who had already lost his patience, could not bathe and had to get dressed and go on a flight from Copenhagen to Miami with a stopover in London for more than 3 hours. I go back to my room so I can get dressed and leave as soon as possible. Nothing like this had ever happened to us in a hotel. The man, well, did not offer any type of compensation, or discount, he did not even apologize. At least he managed to send me to another floor to bathe. So make sure before you book this hotel that you will check other offers. Also keep in mind that if you arrive before the check in time, you will not receive your bags to store them in the lobby or in a separate room like in all other hotels in the world, but you have to pay approximately $60 . dkk for each locker to be able to store your suitcase. It also offers the option of 1 single pillow per person. If you are used to other hotel chains where you are going to sleep comfortably, with AC, with a decent bathroom, and you intend to bathe like any human being in the private bathroom of your room, you will NOT be able to do it because they deliver rooms like this. But in exchange you can go to bathe in another room at the madarka 2 floors below, while you lose your time value before an international flight. If you are used to those normal themes, this is NOT the place and I suggest you look for better alternatives. The price does not correspond to what you are receiving in care and services....
Read moreGreat hotel, would recommend it for people travelling in a small group to share the room.
Great price for the provided services Close location to the airport (3 minute drive by train, 20-30 minute drive by train to the central railway station, Tivoli Gardens) Breakfast (buffet) can be included in the price of the room or paid for separately afterwards Welcoming, helpful and nice employees 😊 Room for 3 people was really comfortable with private kitchen and big private bathroom (included small refrigerator, plates, cutlery, pots and small stove for 2 pots, and hairdryer in the bathroom). The shower in the bathroom was really easy to use (no need to turn on cold and hot water separately, just turn one handle to select the temperature). The train station is 3-5 minutes walk away from the hotel👍
The bathroom in the room for 3 people didn't have a shower curtain, so if you take a shower you need to be prepared for wet floors (we had to open the window to dry it faster) The bathroom in the room for 1-2 people was really tiny with shower head pointing directly at the door. Really uncomfortable to shower as I was afraid the water will drip through the crack beneath the door into the main room. And if you turn the shower towards the mirror, you basically cannot shower👍😅 I had to hold it in my hands in order to shower. This room didn't have anything else apart from the bed, table, chair, and mirror in the room. The room was cleaned during the day (trash thrown out, beds made and mirror was cleaned). But the floor was dusty the whole time and it would have been nice if it was cleaned too. There is a ramp, probably for bicycles/baby strollers but it is very very steep so you cannot use it for anything other than bikes which is also doubtful. Wheelchair will definitely not fit there and it will be dangerous to use.
Side note: Shampoo and shower gel, and slippers are not provided, towels...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed at the Copenhagen GO Hotel the last night of our vacation before flying back to Canada. We chose it because of its close proximity to the Copenhagen airport. After booking the hotel we learned that they do no offer a shuttle to and from the airport. Luckily, that wasn't too much of a setback, because there is a train that stops practically across the street from the hotel. Speaking of which, the "street" is actually a very busy highway. Although there is break in the median that looks like a path for pedestrians, there is in fact no crosswalk or lights of any kind. That means that pedestrians have to watch the traffic carefully and run across the highway as fast as they can, pulling all of their luggage with them. Not ideal.
As for the hotel, it's quite nice. They offer snacks as well as a full buffet breakfast, for an extra fee. I had the breakfast and it was definitely worth it.
Now for the bad part: the room. Because ours was on the top floor, there was a slanting ceiling directly over half the bed (See image). There was no way to physically get passed it without bending over so far as to almost fall onto the bed. I have memory issues, so I had a feeling that I would forget about the overhang and bang my head during one of my nightly bathroom trips. With that in mind, I went to the front desk and asked them if we could switch rooms. The lady I spoke with looked at me like I was crazy before letting me know that the hotel was fully booked that night. She seemed to think that the slanting ceiling was no big deal, which makes sense, because, if they did consider it to be a safety hazard, they would not rent those rooms or, at the very least, put up some sort of warning signs on the overhang.
All in all, the Copenhagen GO Hotel was a mixed bag. I would not rule out staying there in the future; I would just make sure that our room was not on the...
