Holme Å Camping — Hotel in Vejen Municipality

A cozy little camp half and hour drive from Legoland, Billund. Made a call a few days ahead to get some details and was met with a female voice not being so polite. Felt our stay would be not so good. Upon arriving we found this beautiful campsite, both with small huts, camper trailers with tents and a small reception. The elderly man at the counter was very polite and helpful with details. Later we met his wife (think it was) and I immediately recalled the not so people friendly voice on the phone. The camper wagon we stayed at was old and worn by age and use. But, still gave us an Okey stay at the camping site. Upon checkout the elderly woman went for inspection of our camper and demanded extra fee on electricity. Even though we payed this in advance. Didn't bother discussing it....

The house wasn't very clean when we arrived. There were dozens of dead flies at the windows and there was dust under the beds.

When we left, after we cleaned the house and left it in a better state than we found it, we were told that there was dust under the beds, and a dirty spot near the window. As a result, we did not get our 1000DKK deposit back.

I don't understand why the house wasn't clean by their own standards while they gladly take our money if we don't leave it as such. I guess it's a cash grab. We also had to pay 800DKK for bed linen. This was disappointing for what was otherwise a nice...

We stayed 4 nights at this camping as a last minute stay due to our Italy holiday cancellation. My sons and I had a great time at this family friendly camping. We stayed in the back of the camping place with a brand new sanitary space with clean toilets and lovely showers. The sanitary spaces in the forward part of the camping are a bit old school, but still clean and okay. The pool is fine enough for the younger ones after a day full of activities in Sønderjylland. It's owned by friendly people that are always willing to help. We will come back for sure, it's a lovely place to get some...
