Diese Hotel ist leider von hinten bis vorne eine Katastrophe und ich weiß ehrlich nicht wo ich anfangen soll ☹ Wir sind bei Dunkelheit um 21h angekommen, müde nach einer 20 Stunden Anreise – hatten (wir sind eine Familie aus 5 Personen) eine Suite mit 5 Schlafmöglichkeiten gebucht (ca. 84 qm, Bett mit Schlafzimmer, ausziehbare Couch, Zusatzbett); alles Vorausbezahlt. Ich hatte mir auch die Mühe gemacht, das Hotel vorweg 2 x anzuschreiben damit das auch sicher klappt – immer ohne Antwort (eh klar) Check-In eher sehr lange und mühsam, dauernd haben die Rezeptionisten miteinander zu Plaudern gehabt (wir sprechen leider nur Englisch, kein Spanisch, der nichts verstanden ) Ich habe bei der Schlüsselübergabe noch gefragt ob eh alle 5 Betten gemacht wären und mit einem Schulterzucken und einen , Yes yes als Antwort bekommen Wir kamen aufs Zimmer – außer dem Doppelbett NICHTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anruf an der Rezeption mit der Bitte die anderen Betten sofort zu ergänzen - nach 20 Minuten NICHTS !!! Inzwischen waren alle 3 Kinder eingeschlafen (2 im Bett, 1 auf dem nicht gemachten Sofa) Ich pilgerte zur Rezeption und bettelte nochmals – ja, würde gleich passieren Insgesamt war ich bis 23h 4 x an der Rezeption und habe 3 x angerufen, ohne Erfolg. Gleichzeitig stellte ich fest, Wasser im Dusche/WC/Waschbecken – braun (siehe Bild) und bat um etwas (kostenloses Wasser ) – weil jede Flasche musste man zahlen Um 23h20 passierte dann folgendes (während ich grad an der Rezeption war) – es kam jemand weckte meine Kinder auf, kam mit einem Bett, und zog die Sofa aus - UND, diese 3 Schlafmöglichkeitne bekamen Leintücher, mehr nicht (keine Kissen, keine Decken) – also nochmals zur Rezeption, wieder das versprechen, Housekeeping käme schon Die kamen dann auch, mit 2 x 0,5l Wasser (5 Personen) und sonst nix – als ich kann ganz wütend meinte – ja und wann werden die Betten fertig gemacht kam ein – „Calm down, we will make it“ ; Schlussendlich nach 3 Stunden hatten wir alles , die Betten durfte ich aber denn selbst überziehen, das machte das Housekeeping nicht mehr Sonst: Frühstück; eher dürftig, Personal komplett emotionslos, keine Begrüßung, redet man sie an oder lächelt sie dann kommt kaum etwas – es macht da keinem Spaß zu arbeiten Es ist innen gedeckt – ca 60% der Leute saßen draußen – man musste sich die Gedecke von drinnen selbst mitnehmen (dort wurde dann einfach nachgedeckt aber keiner kam auf die Idee mal den Gästen draußen was zu bringen) – abgeräumt wurde kaum, Kaffee serviert schon gar nicht Wir machten dann auch mal den Fehler, dort zu essen – ist tendenziell teuer, Getränke kamen nach 45 min, das essen nach einer Stunde (und wir waren neben einem zweiten Tisch die einzigen Gäste) Außenanlage insgesamt sehr ungepflegt – lose und kaputte Fliesen, Dreck, überall standen alte Leiters, gebrochenen Lampen herum – es macht fast den Eindruck als wäre das Hotel zur Renovierung geschlossen, weil es wie eine Baustelle wirkte Im Hotel nächtigen viele Airline Crews, dafür reicht es wohl aus – aber ich kann niemandem empfehlen hier abzusteigen und es ist eine Schade, das es zur Hilton Gruppe gehört ☹

The Hilton Garden Inn Hotel located in La Romana has the best views, food, drinks and cocktails varieties even for the ones who don’t drink like my family. This place is very comfortable, luxurious, unforgettable experiences that will make you want to stay living at La Romana. The amount of police in the zone to monitor everything is amazing, I was visiting everywhere and felt safe everywhere even during night times. My favorite part was getting a Golf car trip for free during my trip to visit the beach and boat options to visit the 10 minutes Island Catalina that can be seen from our rooms and anywhere in the hotel. The staff were amazing and we even saw the owners of the Hotel they were very humble and friendly. I recommend this hotel! The prices are amazing and for what you get is unbelievable good!

The Hilton Garden Inn Hotel located in La Romana has the best views, food, drinks and cocktails varieties even for the ones who don’t drink like my family. This place is very comfortable, luxurious, unforgettable experiences that will make you want to stay living at La Romana. The amount of police in the zone to monitor everything is amazing, I was visiting everywhere and felt safe everywhere even during night times. My favorite part was getting a Golf car trip for free during my trip to visit the beach and boat options to visit the 10 minutes Island Catalina that can be seen from our rooms and anywhere in the hotel. The staff were amazing and we even saw the owners of the Hotel they were very humble and friendly. I recommend this hotel! The prices are amazing and for what you get is unbelievable good!

This issue would be best resolved by upgrading the hardware to options of higher quality that ensure reliable functionality. • Indoor Bathroom Design: The indoor bathroom counter appears poorly designed, as it retains water that can spill onto my clothes. This small design flaw can be frustrating, especially if I’m unaware of the water buildup until it affects my clothing. A simple redesign or structural fix could prevent this issue and enhance the guest experience. Air Conditioning: • The room air conditioning system is not adjustable and is set to 19 degrees Celsius. The lack of control over the temperature can be uncomfortable for some guests, as it limits personal comfort. My husband and I checked into this hotel 2/8 to attend the Alade wedding on 2/8. Not a good experience.

Upon arrival at 2pm the room wasn't ready(no issue there) so we decided to eat at the restaurant. First mistake. It took over 5 mins for someone to come from back and greet/seat us. Since it was only 4 or 5 tables seated in restaurant, we expected not a very long wait to eat. Wrong! Took over an hour to get our food and there was very little communication abt the delay. A table that came in 20 mins after us got their food 10 mins before us. As I asked for a manager, the food came rolling out.The food was okay. We paid and went to check in counter again around 3:30 to get room and it still wasn't ready. This was unacceptable as wedding started at 5 and we weren't showered or dressed yet. We luckily were allowed to enter room while cleaning lady was still finishing up.

One frustrating thing is i wanted to bounce btw my floor (5) and my friends room (4th floor) but key only allowed me to go on 5th floor.

The room itself is pretty good! Great Beach view!!

Fast forward to the wedding - The groom is Nigerian so traditionally money is"sprayed" on the groom and bride. Everyone brings cash to do this. I'm not much of a dancer so I sat and observed mostly. I watched 1 male worker (not sure what role he was in, maybe served drinks on the far side?) Bend down twice and pick up a significant amount of bills and stuffed in his pocket. He was of a lighter complexion and had a little weight on him. One other guest could not find her louis V Sunglasses she left on table and another guest stated she had $500 in her purse she couldn't find after the wedding.

On the other hand, The lady and guy serving drinks during reception on the side nearest the hotel lobby door were great!

I'm glad this was only 1 night for us. We stayed at Finest resort the previous 4 nights which was 10/10 so coming to this on the lasr night was a let down but made sense as it was wedding location. I would...
