Our stay at Villa Del Mar wasn’t anything short of amazing! We came across the property back in 2020 when scouting wedding venues hoping for a 2021 celebration, only to encounter the realities of COVID-19. Throughout the process, Martine was very helpful and patient working with us, ultimately securing March 2022 as our wedding date. As part of this process, she extended us the flexibility of working with outside vendors for the wedding day and curate the experience we desired as long as we all followed the general rules established by the residential, including capacity. Martine even kindly allowed us to produce part of our pre-wedding photoshoot at the property when we flew in to the Dominican Republic last June and the preliminary results were stunning!

Last month, we finally had the opportunity to stay in for 4 nights along 21 of our closest friends and we can’t stop talking about it! The house is gorgeous, tastefully furnished and very well taken care of. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable and the amenities are perfect for a small group looking for a private experience without lacking any of the conveniences of a hotel.

A few days before our departure, Rebecca reached out to us to work on last minute arrangements and, much like Martine, she was also quite a dear! She helped us to determine our menu, specific needs during our stay and provided any needed information we were still missing. She was very helpful and easy to work with.

The house staff was the loveliest and did an amazing job at keeping the house spotless, including conducting daily maintenance of the pool.

• José is simply the best! He was our main go-to person in the house and was stellar at providing us everything we needed, including keeping the bar stocked – which was very important to us lol. • Omar never missed in the kitchen and helped us introduce our mostly non-Dominican friends to authentic Dominican dishes. Until this day, our guests are still requesting his recipes! • Miguel was incredibly reliable and clutch in assisting us with our transportation needs always with a smile on his face! • The cleaning ladies kept the house impeccable and even did our laundry before we left!

We couldn’t thank them enough as they all played a big part in making the most important occasion of our lives feel extra special!

We are already planning our next group trip to Las Terrenas in the near feature and hope to book Villa del Mar again. The experience was worth every dollar and every minute we spent planning it. We highly recommend...

Where do I start…we booked Villa Del Mar for a week long family vacation. There were 27 of us, including 6 kids, ages 1 thru 14. The villa is grand, the views are spectacular. The house was clean, the bedding crisp and fresh. I have a thing about white bedding and I loved that it smelled of fresh linens. There was space for everyone to do their own thing at any given moment. The beds on the lawn are the perfect space for an afternoon nap. Even while it rained, because they are well protected by the palm leaf umbrellas. We walked to the beach daily, rinsed off at the outdoor shower and jumped in the pool. The showstoppers though are the staff. Without Omar, Jose, Arjenis, Yenni and Bruni, this villa would be just another big house on the beach. Every meal was made with so much love, delicious beyond words. The fresh fruit cocktails were refreshing and scrumptious! The freshly made beds every day, clean towels, pretty fresh flowers in my room, it just made it such a calming and lovely experience. The pig roast, wow, fresh pizzas, grilled lobsters. I can go on and on. The house does need some updates, as it is showing signs of age. Watch the pool area, it is dangerously slippery and we spent the entire week yelling “no running” to the kids because it was like walking on a slip and slide. The stairs also need a railing, we didn’t let the kids go upstairs without supervision, it was an accident waiting to happen. Rebecca, the house manager was a doll. I don’t know how she didn’t block me on WhattsApp with the 101 questions and requests!! She connected me with local vendors for special requests to celebrate a birthday and they were all amazing.
