Attending a wedding in the Manabí province led us to search for a nearby beach retreat, ultimately selecting this establishment. The initial cost of $180 per night for a king-size room appeared steep for the region. However, upon check-in, it became evident that the value did not align with the price. We were placed on the third floor and with the heavy luggage, we quickly noticed the fact that this property doesn't have an elevator. The room itself was unimpressive. Notably, sand on the floor indicated subpar cleaning methods.||Among the limited positives, the pool area and food stood out, offering reasonable prices and enjoyment. Unfortunately, our experience soured the night before check-out due to an encounter with the owner. While the staff was generally accommodating, this particular individual treated us poorly, berating and evicting us from the pool area. It's important to note that this behavior was an isolated incident, and the rest of the personnel were satisfactory.||While I am reluctant to let this incident solely shape my review, the combination of high prices and underwhelming facilities is undeniable. Comparable 4-5 star hotels in the vicinity provide better value for money, making this choice...
Read moreI must say that this hotel is no longer what it used to be. It is becoming outdated, with poor service, unprofessional staff, and overpriced, declining food quality. Compared to other nearby places that are more modern, well-maintained, and visually appealing, this one feels overpriced for what it offers. The only redeeming quality here is the beach, which remains a highlight.
Additionally, this hotel has an ongoing relationship with the owners of the Vistazul condominium, yet it frequently restricts their access to the facilities and, at times, even denies them entry. This situation has led many Vistazul residents to hesitate when recommending the hotel.
It is disappointing to see a place with so much potential decline in both quality and service. I sincerely hope that management takes this feedback into account and makes the necessary improvements. Investing in better customer service, facility upgrades, and fairer policies for condominium owners would significantly enhance the overall guest experience. Until these issues are addressed, I would advise potential visitors to explore other nearby options that offer better value for...
Read moreA little taste of hidden magic. My husband and I have dined here several times and brought other couples back with us. Beautifully designed, the hotel entrance welcomes you with unusual plantings and pulls you forward through its open views of the pool and the ocean. The pool and outdoor area offers a respite from daily living. A very fun little bar area and a number of hammocks add to the charm. Loads of day bed areas means everyone can fully enjoy the setting. The restaurant food is delicious _ best Viche Soup in Manabi. Service is very friendly and, if you are lucky enough to have Angelica, also quite efficient. We loved the place so much we even booked our Galapagos cruise through the same owners...
