as whe where told it was a realy nice place, its possible that we expected too much.We arrived quite late in the evening and just got a room without asking what the price was. Next day 2 fellowtravellers arrived and got a much cheaper room, 20 instead of 35 dollar. Of course it is your own responsibility, but i thought it was strange we were not given any option. After i asked for a cheaper room the reaction was not really understanding, even worse, after agreeing on the price we were beeing told that with this price ,cleaning of the room was not incluided. The first morning i had a continental breakfast,which was relatively fairly priced(still more expensive than a local breakfast) but with one slice of tomato ,one clice of cheese and 2 pieces of bread it was less than basic. When i asked for more bread , it was added to my bill as a supplement, i found it totaly ridicoulous. Just make sure it's enough for an adult or otherwise raise your price.||Overall it's a nice cetting rooms are o.k , but the water is warmer then the welcome feeling. It seems to be more abouth making as much money as possible than abouth giving people a great stay whilst...

i Visited this space in my holidays. Is a good space near to the otavalo town, peguche Waterfalls and imbabura mountain. ||||In the time that i stayed in this place i shared with the family of the hostal, Huaco, Mikey, Tuamary, liz and kiriari, and with the people that work in this place, Camilo Jimmy, and the other people.||||the hostal maked differents aboriginal ceremonys, i participed in three temazcals, its similar to hot shower but the people sang spiritual songs and prayed.. ||||This is the most beautifull experience becouse in this place i lived the good aboriginal medice and i think its spectacular..||||it has a good restaurant. someone employee...

Das Hostal Aya Huma mit Restaurant ist der einzige Ort in Peguche, wo man wirklich bleiben kann. Die Zimmer sind einfach aber liebevoll eingerichtet. Wegen des schönen Ausblicks bevorzuge ich Zimmer 16-20. Aber auch die Eckzimmer 5 oder 3 sind sehr schön. Manche Zimmer sind etwas dunkler oder feuchter als andere. Generell würde ich daher von den Zimmern ganz unten am Fluss abraten. Das Hostal ist ein Familienbetrieb. Jeder packt mit an. An der Rezeption arbeitet eine sehr zuvorkommende Indígena aus dem Dorf, der eine Sohn der Inhaberin hat gemeinsam mit seiner Frau das Restaurant übernommen. Das Besondere an diesem Ort: es gibt auf der anderen Seite einen Ritualplatz mit traditioneller Schwitzhütte. Zeremonien und Traditionelles wie Pachamanka - ein Essen im Erdloch (köstlich!) - oder eine Schwitzhüttenzeremonie können auf Anfrage hier gebucht werden und sind sehr zu empfehlen!!! Ich komme seit vielen Jahren auch mit Reisegruppen hierher und liebe die herzliche, familiäre Atmosphäre. Für Selbstversorger wurde eine Küche eingerichtet, wo man selbst kochen kann. Ab und zu kann es vorkommen, dass heisses Wasser vorübergehend ausfällt oder die Handtücher mal übervorsorglich jeden Tag gewechselt werden und dann mal eines fehlt, aber dies sind kleine südamerikanische "Unperfektheiten". Die Familie von Mieke und Huacu ist wirklich zuvorkommend und immer bemüht es den Gästen Recht zu machen und für einen schönen Aufenthalt zu sorgen. Achja: Samstags gibt es üblicherweise Livemusik im Restaurant, was übrigens einen gemütlichen Kamin hat. Seit über einem Jahr fährt ab und zu der Zug von Otavalo nach Ibarra...
