I had previously stayed at a different hotel not far from Hotel Nevada and it was completely quiet. I thought this would be the same, but boy was I wrong! What I didn't realize was that it was on a main street and there was 24 hours-per-day never-ending traffic noise. At some point I could tune it out, but then daybreak would come and it was overwhelming. It's too bad. The room was decent for the price I paid ($35/night), flat screen TV, decent shower, etc. On the other hand, there was an army of ants that were everywhere. I just learned to live with them for 5 days. :-) Bottom line though is that I wouldn't stay there again, due to the traffic noise, regardless of cost.||||There was a great little curbside place to eat just around the corner. Situated one block from the beach (great beach by Pacific Ocean beach standards) and next door to 5 or 6 delicious cevicherías, Nevada is a great option for a quick stay in Playas.
