Cons: Dirty bedding - had to request to have it changed after checking in. Filthy bathrooms. No soap provided in toilets (how are staff washing hands before preparing breakfast??) Basic, school cafeteria style breakfast included. Pros: Friendly receptionist. Can securely store luggage here for Quilotoa loop for $2. Can hire hiking poles (one of the four we hired was broken though).

Cuando hice la reserva vi que el sitio estaba un poco alejado del centro, una vez que llegue ese fue la menor de las preocupaciones. El sitio es bastante acogedor. Las camas son comodas, las habitaciones son limpias y ventiladas; ademas las son amplias. Los baños son aseados. El dueño de la hosteria, Eduardo, es muy atento y amable; para aquellos que disfruten de senderismo/alpinismo para hacer cumbre en los diferentes volcanes en los alrededores de Latacunga, es EL SITIO IDEAL dado que Eduardo tiene bastante experiencia en el tema (ha hecho varias cumbres) y ofrece guias a sus huespedes. El hostal cuenta con una cocina general (con microondas y refri), lavanderia y parqueo. Ademas tiene en la terraza un area recreacional que cuenta con bar, mesas y mesa de billar, excelente. En fin, el sitio esta cerca del mall y ahi pasan bastantes taxis que van al centro (ademas de los taxis que pasan en la calle). Pd: Disculpen el desorden de las cosas en la habitacion en la que me hospede.

✨ Una experiencia inolvidable ✨ Me encantó el tour ofrecido por Eduardo, fue realmente espectacular. La experiencia fue fenomenal: cercana, auténtica y de excelente calidad. Eduardo tiene un gran conocimiento de la zona, de su historia y, sobre todo, un amor profundo por su país, lo que hace que todo el recorrido sea aún más especial y enriquecedor. Quedé completamente enamorada de Ecuador, pero en especial del volcán Cotopaxi, gracias a la experiencia ofrecida por Sendero de Volcanes. 🌋 ¡Gracias por un día maravilloso! 💜

I GOT ROPPED BY THE OWNER! AND GOT IT ON FILM! DONT GO THERE!

We spend here one night and as soon as we wanted to go for breakfast a lady was watching us.. my feeling was not good about that so i went back in my room and instal my camera to see what will happen.

When i got back THE SAME LADY TOOK $100 DOLLAR! I was soo happy that my feeling was right and i actualy have it on tape!

We went to the reception with the camera and asked for the owner.. THE SAME WOMEN WHO TOOK OUR MONEY WAS THE OWNER?!

We called the police and we got our money back.. but this is ALL because i got proof! It happends a lot here.. just be aware!...

While we were here two girls were robbed. During breakfast they felt observed, so they went back to the room and placed a camera. After they finished breakfast they returned back to their room and found out that their instincts did not let them down. In the meantime the owner!! of the hostel entered their room and stole their money. All caught on video and of course the police was called. I'd suggest not to support such a behavior and to stay away...

Well well, it don't cost much but you understand why when you can hear every single person in the hostel talking, laughing and doing stuff even after 22h30 which is the time you need to shut it up. At night, everytime that a person goes to the bathroom you are gonna hear it obviously, but additionnally there will be a light turning on in the hallway that can easily wake you up by the intensity of the light and because it also light your room...
