Our stay here was very nice. The location is wonderful and the hotel felt safe. It's near the city center so there is noise at night - it's a city after all. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We had no issues with noise from any of the guests in our private room. The hosts were very helpful with all our questions. We were doing the Quilotoa loop next and they allowed us to store our stuff here for no additional charge. Also, we were doing some markets that day and weren't sure if we would be back in time before check out so they let us store everything while we were out and then repack afterwards before leaving for Sigchos. This was a really big help to us and we are so grateful for their accommodation. There was breakfast in the morning that was prepared for us and it was very delicious! The family is incredibly warm and inviting, they helped us plan our market trip from which market was best to how to get to the bus station. It was a really nice...
Read moreEverything was great from the beginning of my stay in Hotel Central. The lady who is in charge was very friendly, polite and profesional, always taking care that I have everything I need. All the time I was offered with the coffee and juice, I prepared my breakfast in the kitchen, the second night I was even rewarded with private room (and not dormitory as I paid). I don't have enough words to thank to owners for their hospitality. WiFi was great, the view from the window was spectacular (looking on the main square)... You'll just need a bit of patience with the hot water as it takes a couple of minutes to arrive.||I highly recommend this place if you're visiting Latacunga. I would definitely...
Read moreClean, budget accommodations on the main plaza square in Latacunga run by the nicest family and staff ever.||||We were offered tea/coffee upon arrival by a welcoming member of the staff. ||||While walking the streets in Latacunga my husband stepped/fell knee-deep into an open sewer whole. It was a disconcerting and smelly mess. The staff was so accommodating, offering to get a doctor (we didn't need one, luckily) and to pick up my husband's soiled clothes from the laundry while we were hiking the Quilotoa Loop. They stored our luggage (and the cleaned clothes - phew!) for us and served us tea/coffee upon our return. ||||If I ever visit Latacunga again I will return to Hostal Central for the amazing warmth, generosity and hospitality. We couldn't have felt...
