After being forced to pay up we turned and drove home immediately without staying at this dark place

Disliked · Having visited several beautiful haciendas in the area, we arrived with high expectations based on the reviews given on this platform. However, this turned out to be a huge disappointment. There was no hacienda—just a renovated farm with roads around. I promised my kids lots of animals, but all we could find was one depressed donkey, one lonely lama, and two male sheep that were trying to kill each other in a small field in the back of the building. The door was closed, and there was not a soul in sight. The Cotopaxi volcano was not visible, and the hotel was dark and run-down. We requested kindly to please annulate our stay so we could have our holiday elsewhere but the owner/manager refused since there was no crisis situation so no reason to anul the contract. In other words, we were forced to pay for something we did not want. We decided to pay and drive back home for 4 hours since we genuinely did not want to stay in this place with terrible vibes all around it. It's best to stay away and enjoy this beautiful region through one of the other lovely real haciendas. What a sad day to see our much-needed family holiday taken down by the greed of some...

My partner and I recently went to Cotopaxi this May and stayed at Hacienda Santa Ana. If you get the privilege of meeting Victor, Roccio, Edison or Patrizia, consider yourself in good hands. The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained with picturesque views of the breathtaking Cotopaxi. The staff were able to seamlessly plan all activities, meals and rides for us that fit our needs perfectly. Victor provided us with three floor heaters in our rooms as well as ponchos for when we were cold, honest advice on how to go about our travels and which activities he thinks we would enjoy and was all around a lovely guy. Edison would cook us what we requested with no problems what so ever and would cut up fresh vegetables for us to feed the on site animals when we wanted. Roccio, the owner of the hotel was available 24/7 by cell phone before and after our visit to make sure we were taken care of. Couldn't recommend this hotel enough!! Hacienda Santa Ana-...

The beautiful decoration makes this hotel one great place when visiting Cotopaxi Volcano area. The house it self is full oh history. It used to be a Jesuit house retreat so walls and items give the house a very special character. Didn't try the restaurant . Check rates before going .

We chose Hacienda Santa Ana for a corporate retreat and team integration. Amazing experience, the food is fantastic, the activities, the service. The whole experience makes you feel at home and taken care of throughout the day and night (with hot water packs to warm your bed.)

Lovely gem at Andes near Cotopaxi National Park! A 17 century historical building with a classic colonial dining room & a public hall is beautiful & cozy. Relatively modern bathroom in the 8 colonial guest rooms blended very well...... Love this place!
