Went on a family trip to Machala with my kids. Booked a suite, with connecting rooms in this historical landmark hotel. The charming hotel was renovated a few years ago with new touches, like the beautiful reception counter with hand carved wood panels, huge glass windows, modern chandelier, refurbished with lots of original stuff, like the beautiful stone floors, antique elevator. There is a bar and an onsite restaurant next door to the hotel that service three meals. Breakfast is included for the hotel guests. Nice and friendly staff. The rooms are clean and quiet. Down to earth good deal with less than $50/room in the center of the city. Honestly, you cannot find a better deal. Definitely would stay...

We chose this hotel for its location, price, amenities, and the fact there was staff that spoke English. We would like to compliment Anthony Alcivar, the English-speaking employee, for making our stay so pleasant and stress-free.
