Hotel "Veuxor" — Hotel in Machala

We arrived at this hotel with another couple, and our experience was revolting. The rooms were filthy, beds stained, mirrors stained, even the drinking glass in the bathroom had been used. We called the desk to complain and to tell them that we didn't have even clean towels to us.||They sent up some towels, but were no help at all with the other problems.||It was a holiday weekend so there was nowhere else to go. We stayed the night, afraid to sleep, and in the morning we confronted the manager, with whom we spoke for over an hour. He would do nothing, no money back, no discount, absolutely nothing.||The place looks inside as if it is a place where people go to spend an hour, not a night, and, believe me, the rooms are not cleaned after the one hour users are finished...

Location is great but it's located in an extremely noisy and busy intersection of downtown Machala. ||Noise insulation between rooms is nonexistent. Absolutely everything can be heard from the rooms beside yours. Rooms get cleaned but the floors rarely get mopped or vacuumed. ||Reception staff, with very few exceptions, seem more interested in texting and checking their mobile phones than taking care of the clients. ||Door guys are great. ||Occasionally they organize extremely noisy social events until 0400 AM that can clearly be heard all over the building. ||Bring your own insect repellent as for some reason the rooms are full of mosquitoes. ||Breakfast is basic and their breads and...

Clean, refined professional hotel, very central location. Ideal if coming from it going to Guayaquil as it is two blocks from Oro Guayas mini bus service. Rooms were quiet at night and there was an excellent american and ecuadorian style buffet included in the room rate.
