Hotel Madrigal Manta Beach — Hotel in Manta

When we arrived we were expecting to have a hotel of good standard, as there were many good reviews. I frankly don't understand why.

The room we reserved simply did not exist, instead of a comfortable big room with a couch we got a small room with a plastic chair and table.

There is mold outside of the hotel and at the AC, the ceiling is falling partially apart on the way to the pool and the breakfast space. The pool was dirty, the new room we got had was clean, but one nightstand was not existing and some other furniture half falling apart.

The breakfast was quite good but very hearty on all three days, they even served a different meal on all days. The staff was friendly and helpful.

One BIG NoGo is the locked door which cannot be opened by the customers such that one has always ring for the staff auch that they can open it up for you.

There is not even a possibility for an emergency opening of the door - which is a possible life threatening danger. Overall we would not recommend to come...

The attention was remarcable, they helped us with several requests with no problems. The location is very good and close to a lot of restaurants and the main street in Barbasquillo. The only bad thing was the breakfast. But in general, it was a good value...

Las fotos que te envían deben ser cuando se inauguró el hotel xq ya todo se ve desgastado (expectativa vs realidad!) 🥲, la piscina estuvo turbia y le faltaba mantenimiento, de igual manera las duchas ya están oxidadas, una noche se fue la luz y agua como 5 veces seguidas hasta q se quemó el generador. La ubicación está bien y las personas q atienden muy amables, aunque hay un chico que hace de recepcionista, chef y administrador, mucho para una sola persona. Deben revisar el manejo...
