We tried Horse restaurant for dinner last night for the first time. It was really exceptional. The restaurant is very small with only two tables . One table for four inside and another for six or seven. They also have outdoor seating for overflow. The server brought over menus for us and most of the items, if not all, we're also listed in english. We were told they are known for their potstickers and this is the predominant menu item listed. My husband ordered the pork pot stickers, and I ordered the sweet and sour shrimp. There were probably 13 potstickers and I had at least a dozen shrimp in my dish. Everything was quite good, and a good value for the money. Our tab was $18 for the two of us. For drinks they offered sodas, beer, and water. I think teas are also an option. We were there on a warm night so we went with the cold Club beer and Coca-Cola. It was nice to hear the Chef cooking in the back using a wok. I had enough left over that I was able to take it home to have for lunch the next day. My husband thought the potstickers were so good that he ate them all! We will definitely go back to the Horse and look forward to trying different pot stickers. This is an authentic, little and slightly hidden place in Manta that...
Read moreI’ve never actually eaten inside the restaurant because eating out with three little kids can be a bit much, but we’ve ordered takeout from here at least 20 times and it’s been great every single time. Honestly, I think it’s even getting better.
The dumplings are the biggest hit in our house. I love the pork ones the most, but we get and enjoy them all. Everyone who’s tried them has loved them, including my very picky 5 year old, 3 year old, and even my 1 year old, who ate six dumplings last night.
We also really love the General Tso’s chicken and the spicy Sichuan chicken. I recently tried the sweet and sour pork and will definitely be adding it to our usual order....
