Balcony was fantastic. Mario the owner did a great job. Friendly staff, at first.
Room was acceptable for $15, but not very clean. bathroom had no doorknob Lots of natural light and cool breezes, yeah! Fan was good quality standing unit. Interestingky, all window edges appeared to be eaten away by flying termites or their cousins.
Room had very wide open air openings, so bugs especially mosquitos entered, sucked blood like a vampire and flew off through the openings all over the place. Luckily, I had purchased a lot of bug 🐛 spray and plug in bug repeller as well as burning coils.
Had hot water, soap and shampoo, and hangars in the tiny closet area, although the closet bar collapsed when I hung my clothes, so only hang one or two pieces, max.
No safe or lockbox. Not very clean especially table on the balcony which took me about an hour to sanitize and get all the gunk off the top. Plastic table cover hadn't been cleaned in a decade, and had essentially melted or stuck to the table top. I just sanitized the top, because I needed somewhere to place my food and beverage. Plastic chairs also had to be cleaned thoroughly to avoid staining my clothes when sitting down.
General cleanliness lacking, doesn't meet international standard. Wooden stairwell going up to the balcony probably won't Support a two hundred pound person, numerous steps looked unstable and the bannister is likewise questionable. Don't try ascending or descending during happy hour, or could be an unhappy twenty four hours in the ER!
Sheets and blanket had odours, didn't appear to be fresh linens or clean blanket. They provided an extra towel on request, and it was 100% cotton, thanks 😊
DON'T BE LATE FOR BREAKFAST! I asked for breakfast a couple minutes after 10, and I was not fed, so...

Read moreIm confused about all these good reviews on this terrible place. wondering if they stayed in the same place as I did. first of all the pics on booking.com, where we booked this place is COMPLETELY different from reality. the rooms were dirty, mosquitos everywhere, I treid to not go to the toilet too often cause I felt super uncomfortable in there also cause the wall in the bathroom didnt go all up to the top so if youre sitting on the toilet you can hear the convo in the shared kitchen perfectly well and im pretty sure they can hear everything youre doing in there too.. beds were super uncomfortable, hard pillows, and spider webs on the bed. breakfast was okay but after we found 2 hair in it, we lost appetite. we checked out 2 days before our check-out date (stayed only one night) and when I told the host that we’re leaving cause we dont feel comfortable, she just said “ok we need the keys”. not even asking me what the problem was. for that place, $5/night would be okay. not more!!! the only good thing was the beach. no one was there and the palm trees looked nice. also the hosts informed bookimg.com that we didnt stay in that hostel at all. probably so we cant give them a bad review on it… do NOT go there its not worth the money you’ll find another good place in...
