A very long story got the hotel last minute . The rooms are very basic but clean no ac but Jason helped to get extra fan it wasn’t too bad but of course the ac is better according to the standard to sleep better but you can survive Hot water was good…. Be careful some insect can enter to the room !!! You have use common sense I used a repellent before to sleep and it help with the insect…. Our room had a kitchen !!!!!! The area is safe!!!!!! The inland is safe !!!!!!! Free bananas/ oranges.. they let you wash for free is another plus any question or concern Jason is there to help !!! Of course everything on the inland is about money but sometimes things does not have a price like my daughter had an emergency and she needed surgery and Jason and his helper was there to help . We needed to get out of the inland due to emergency the inland does not surgery hospital is very basic !!!!!!! But we managed to get my daughter out od the inland because she was feeling bad !!!. The guys are very attentive and eager to help !! The price of the room was too high but it compensated for the customer service !!!!!!! I also didn’t have many choices as I explained in other reviews hotels at the Galapagos tend to cancel the room days or couple of weeks before because some hotel sell them to a higher prices or the tours companies because they sell expensive packages and tours cost above $110 tours there not much todo free you have to pay money !! Read moreThere are two Posada del caminante hostels and they belong to the same owner. I ended up in the smaller one which would have been fine if I wouldn't have been the only one there. There was no atmosphere. The girl who works there was very nice and always talked to me but it was often hard to find some member of the staff. |There were constructions in front of the hostel so we ended up without any running water for a while which was very unpleasant. |On the other side, the hostel offers free fresh fruits which are very nice and the set up is good too. They have lots of hammocks, even so only one is comfy. The rooms were clean though and the beds good. Sadly the windows didn't close all the way so the mosquitoes could come in. I'm sorry to say that I would choose another hostel next time. Or make sure to end up in the bigger...
Read moreBasic hostel with an awesome manager, where you get all of what you need of you don't need luxury. Our room was very spacious. We had a fan, no ac and the water in the shower was not hot but both was quite fine for us and that even though we were at the hot season there. You get bananas for free and you can do your laundry for free. The manager was more than helpful. Even though he speaks only Spanish and our Spanish is very limited, we asked him if you could get some snorkeling gear and the next day it was there (for free), he organized a taxi for us for our departure and he even called our travel agency to confirm a trip for us. You have a basic kitchen where you can cook and a small common area with hammocks. In 5 minutes you're at the beach. Big thanks to Jason, the manager, who was so helpful...
