Hotel El River — Hotel in Sangolquí

For some reason there are two Hotel del Rivers in Sangolqui, this is the review of the one located on the southern side of Sangolqui, near General Ruminahui monument. ||We used Hotel del River Monumento as a stopover between Mindo valley and Antisana and for that reason it was perfect. It is very close to the road leading to Antisana National Park (20 minutes to Pintag where the main access road begins) so we were able to get into the park early in the morning. Concerning the location related to other possible sights - I cannot comment on that as we literally arrived in late evening and left early morning. There was a large mall nearby (a short drive away) and some restaurants in the walking distance. ||The hotel had a secure parking in their backyard and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The building is nice and well maintained and the room was fresh and clean (although not too big). It was really quiet at night so there is really nothing to complain about. We did not have a breakfast there but it was available for guests for a symbolic fee.
