My boyfriend and I went here to get out of Quito for the weekend for my birthday. This place was a second choice because the other hostería in Tababela where we wanted to go was booked for the weekend. I was looking forward to a relaxing birthday weekend since we live in the middle of a noisy city. We got exactly the opposite.||||We called ahead to see if this place had a pool and jacuzzi. Like I said, the only thing I really wanted for my birthday was to relax. They said yes - we arrived and the pool was freezing and the jacuzzi out of order. It might be a good idea to mention that to your guests if they specifically call to ask about the availability of these amenities.||||Next, we were first put in a room that was close to where the hostel's dogs were located, and they never stopped barking. We asked to change rooms, and got put in the only other room that was open. This room was very close to three or four other rooms, all of which had unruly guests in them who had the televisions as loud as it could go well into the night. When we finally got fed up, we went to search for the night guard to complain and he was nowhere to be found. The televisions were finally turned off, but in the morning these same guests woke up at 7 am pounding on each others doors and yelling (they had come in a group). Obviously a hotel cannot control what kind of guests they accommodate, but it is their job to make sure that there is order and that all guests have some peace. Clearly when a television can be heard at the other end of the building, that is unacceptable and the management should intervene. They simply didn't care.||||To top off this wonderful trip, we were given a breakfast the next morning that consisted of a sandwich made with stale bread and moldy cheese (I promise you I am not exaggerating - the cheese was dry and green), and some juice that was too sugary to even stomach.||||We were planning to complain about the horrible service at checkout (since during the duration of our stay the management was inexplicably nowhere to be found), but the administrator had left that morning with no explanation, obviously with something more important to do than tend to her weekend guests. Quite convenient, don't you think?||||If you want to plan a weekend trip to get out of Quito, don't waste your money and time coming to this place - relaxation and peace of mind is nowhere to...

This place must have had a heyday but it’s in huge need of renovation, the carpets of the landing...
