This is my review for a 5 days stay in the hotel.i really don’t recommend the hotel. Total waste of money. Although the management responded to my review, nothing changed as they promised. I wrote this review to warn clients before they book: The concierge and bellman is not out side or in the lobby but in the administration office inside. No one to help you with your luggage and i had to carry it on my own The hotel is not allowing cars by the front gate so you have to park 10 meters far and carry your stuff on your own The hotel beach and cafe is not suitable for elder or wheel-chaired it has a massive ramp where old people may fall and of course no access with wheel chair Flies, flies , flies everywhere.There are too many flies by the pool and resturant. No pest control of any kind. The hotel should provide pheromones traps 🪤 as well. I asked the receptionist for the reason that this is not provided and replied we don’t know about it instead of replying “ sure, let me put that as a request to the management” All toilets outside your room are not cleaned properly. Although you may see too many house keeping staff in the hotel but none will help to keep the toilets clean. Any request from house keeping takes from1 hour to a day. Sometime they will forget and you have to call bk. The food, we had breakfast included and i was planning to have linch and dinner in the hotel but after my 1st breakfast i decided not to. The options are very limited. All cold food or fruits are prepared at least a day before and not fresh at all. Milk is mixed with water and tastes horrible. Juice is very bad. Worst breakfast experience ever. Room cleaning is zero. Floors were not cleaned for a long time. The bathroom is so dirty. so don’t expect a clean room. bed sheets will never be changed unless u ask them to change infront of you. Leaving it to them will not change a thing The main issue with the hotel staff os that they respond to any issue or complaints with “sorry” but no action or feedback on how to resolve it . Pool is not designed with a suitable ramp for the elders or people with disabilities. Don’t recommend it if you have a family member that is disabled or elderly the internet is very slow Everyday, the hotel is full of people taking photo sessions and so noisy. And Weddings every night with noisy DJ all night that won’t make you sleep quietly. The speakers are so loud that reached my room in the 3 rd floor The staff are not professional at all. When the client tell them about a problem, they simply ignore and get upset. Expect the next time they see you by the pool or resturant, that they will not assist or help. The toilet was not properly cleaned before my arrival—it had visible stains and an unpleasant odor that made the stay uncomfortable. This is simply unacceptable for any hotel claiming to offer quality service. Cleanliness should be a basic standard, and unfortunately, this was not met. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves their housekeeping standards moving forward.||||Even more concerning was the air conditioning unit. The fan was covered in dust, and it’s obvious it hasn’t been cleaned in a very long time. Breathing in air from a dirty AC is not only unpleasant, but also poses a serious health risk, especially for anyone with allergies or respiratory issues. It’s unacceptable for a hotel to overlook such basic hygiene standards. I sincerely hope the management takes action to improve the cleanliness of the rooms, especially the bathrooms and ventilation systems.||||Another issue that really needs attention is the carpet in the rooms. It is extremely thin and loosely fitted, which makes it very easy to slip or trip over—especially near the edges and corners. I specifically requested a suite with a separate bedroom and living room, and I confirmed this request with her multiple times. I even asked whether I should make the payment immediately, but she assured me that the booking was confirmed and that payment could be made upon arrival. On the same day, I sent my friend, who lives in Ismailia, to inspect the suite and reconfirm the booking in person, which she did. However, upon our arrival today, we were shocked to find that the suite had been given to someone else and that all suites were fully booked. Ms. Lamis Salama, Guest Relations Manager, offered us two non connecting rooms instead. This is completely unsuitable for my family, as I am traveling with my husband, my 1-year-old daughter, and my 8-year-old son. Two separate rooms are not an acceptable alternative to the suite we booked and confirmed. This experience reflects an unacceptable level of negligence and disregard for guests’ reservations. Such unprofessional handling of confirmed bookings is not in line with the standards expected from an international hotel brand like Mercure.
