Beautifully decorated hotel. Rooms well appointed. Hotel interior very impressive.
DOOR TEAM Fabulous warm welcome to the hotel. Made feel safe with bag xrays. They were also always happy to help with making sure our Uber was the car that arrived.
CHECK-IN Slow process even as a honors member. Reception staff not very welcoming or friendly.
ROOMS
Nicely decorated and very clean with exception of mat beside beds which was extremely dirty in both our rooms.
Beds and pillows extremely comfortable.
Twin Beds were too high to climb into - housekeeping found us a footstool to get into bed.
Fridge in a cupboard - when opening fridge door with top door pull it took the skin off my knuckles. Either get fridges with side openers or get bigger cupboards.
City view was overlooking very run down dilapidated buildings. Person living on top floor in building opposite would have his phone out taking pictures/videos of us - make sure to draw the curtains.
Bathroom toiletries were a bit bizarre. I got a hair condioner, a shower gel and a sewing kit. I'm guessing team made a mistake and should have provided Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and a shower cap.
No slippers or robes like other Hilton's.
Samsung Tv was old so we couldn't connect to it - I normally connect my fire stick in other Hilton hotels. Remote control was also so old that all the writing had worn off the buttons so we had no idea what the buttons would do - further it was a basic remote rather than the TV samsung remote which limited functionality further.
Room service was excellent and offered great value for money. Food was delivered fresh, hot and very quickly.
Rooms had free safe, iron, ironing board, free water, tea and coffee and a kettle.
Small balcony with outdoor seating.
Laundry was cheap and of high quality. Nicely pressed shirts and hung in wardrobe next day
LOBBY Lobby bar staff (Mina znd Mustafa) went up and above to serve and deliver the highest service, food and beverage. One of our party had special dietary needs which Mina and Mustafa went out of their way to accommodate. Well done guys - you are a credit to the Hilton Team.
Would recommend no smoking zones rather than no smoking tables surrounded by smoking ones.
Very good spa facilities and swimming pool which were largely unused - shame as looked great.
Nice view of sea...
Read moreWe chose Hilton, but we were disgraced. It is never a corporate hotel. It was too bad for a chain hotel. We went for a business trip but we were disgraced. Although we made our reservation 4-5 months ago and asked for two single beds, they changed our rooms to double bed and said they had upgraded. They did not inform us at the checkin and we saw it when we went up to the room. They did not provide any solutions. The staff was very rude and they don’t listen. In Egypt, they tried to put two men in the same bed and we refused and we were victimized. The rooms that ve reserved were with balcony and city view but 6 people in 3 rooms had to stay in dark rooms with basement windows. There was not even a window in the rooms. The rooms had a stinking odor. Besides at the checkin, we wanted to pay in dollars as required by law, but they did not give us change in dollars. They also refused to accept cash at the checkin with various excuses such as it was wrinkled or old. We changed at least 20 different banknotes. As a group leader, I asked for a compensation for those staying in bad rooms, the night chef sent stale desserts left over from dinner to their rooms at 2 am and we had a disgraceful situation again. They did not refund us the price difference arising from the rooms. There were also dirty underwear left in the rooms from previous customers. There was too much noise from the next rooms. They also couldn't sleep because of the noise of the bad music hall from the 1st floor. When we asked for an invoice at the check out, they did not give us a bulk invoice. We had to issue invoices for each room one by one and it took me 1.5 hours to do this. I had to check all the name and billing information one by one. When we wanted to leave our luggages when we checked out, they left all our luggages in the doorway. There were laptops in the bags. We left them...
Read moreBad service, everything takes too much time, only one pool for the entire hotel and the pool is way too small. The buffet is small The rooms are good
We received the first room at around 4pm after waiting for 2.5 hours in the reception (from 13:30 until 15:50) , the other room got ready after that at 16:15 (they said both rooms will be ready within 10 minutes when we arrived, as visitors staying for one night every minute matters, we would have had a tour in the city if they told us they would be that much late)
When we checked in and payed they said breakfast was included, although our reservation included both breakfast and dinner, they took time until they checked this point and approved the dinner, however when we went to the restaurant for dinner they stopped us and said the dinner is not included in our reservation and insisted on that and we requested them to double-check, the reception first said it was not included then they approved it (that actually was not a good situation to be put in as a 5-star hotel visitor).
We requested the shuttle bus to arrive at the beach and it took 30 minutes to come (we could go walking if they told us it would take all this time, again, every minute matters!). The private beach is small compared to any other 5-star hotel and the water was not clean (full of garbage)
During the check out they said we should pay 150 for the parking although we did not have a car! They said then it is for the restaurant but we didn't order anything, then they said it was for the high-speed internet (the passcode was provided on the room card as a free service, as we were used to it in any 5-star hotel).
All the staff were friendly, but things must be managed, all the services we too slow, smiles will not bring a traveller's time back.
Generally, the experience is not what you would expect from a...
