Our family recently visited Northern Lake Lodge, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The hospitality here is second to none — it truly felt like we were being hosted by close friends. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every detail of our stay was perfect.

Exceptional Service and One-of-a-Kind Experiences We traveled with our kids, and they were absolutely thrilled with the lodge’s safari service. It was a unique adventure that captivated both adults and children alike. The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire experience even more special.

Breathtaking Walk to the Lake The walk to the lake was one of a kind. Surrounded by pristine nature and fresh air, it was a peaceful yet invigorating experience. The scenery along the way was so serene, making it a perfect moment for reflection and connection with nature.

Authentic Food That Stands Out The food deserves a special mention. Every meal was prepared with such care and authenticity, showcasing flavors that are hard to find elsewhere. Whether you’re a foodie or just love good, hearty meals, Northern Lake Lodge won’t disappoint.

Cozy and Unique Cottages Our cottage was beautifully designed, offering the perfect blend of comfort and rustic charm. It was spacious, well-maintained, and gave us the feeling of being close to nature without compromising on luxury. If you’re visiting during colder months, we recommend requesting an extra electric heater to make the room toasty and cozy for a perfect night’s sleep.

We are in love with this place. Peaceful, quiet, serene, the air was fresh, the sky gorgeously blue and filled with bird song and gentle breezes. The bungalow itself was marvelous. My 10 year old was absolutely delighted with her loft bunk bed and spent hours playing in it, using it as a fort. The room was simple, cleverly designed, and tasteful. The bathroom was clean and fresh and finished with very pretty tiles. There were big windows with screens and both a fan and AC. The grounds were beautifully maintained with flowers and plants everywhere. Everywhere I looked was filled with beauty.

The staff were SO kind. Ahmed, the owner-operator went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed. My 10 year old liked him so much that she wrote him a card.

The food was exceptionally delicious - both the complimentary breakfast and the dinner. We LOVED it.

Ahmed also arranged a safari trip for us to visit Wadi Hitan National Park - site of the prehistoric whale and mangrove fossils. That excursion was truly remarkable and should not be missed. Our guide, Waleed, was professional, kind and supremely competent. He was great with both of my children.

They have their own delicious olives from the land that will soon be available for sale.

I recently stayed at Northern Lake Lodge, and it was an unforgettable experience. ||||Located just a couple hours from the hustle and bustle of Cairo. The peaceful setting, with a beautiful view of the desert, calmed me instantly, and my simple yet clean and cozy tent welcomed me each evening with a warm, comfortable bed. ||||The meals were delicious, offering fresh, flavorful Egyptian cuisine and dining on the terrace or outside my tent's table, looking at the view was memorable. ||||The full day desert tour was The Best! I had a once in a lifetime experience with my fabulous Bedouin guide, Walid, who was passionate about sharing with me the beauty of what Fayoum had to offer. The dreamy landscapes and variety of the desert was unlike any I've seen -- and I've been to many deserts around the world. ||||The staff, including the owner, Nasr, were exceptional--attentive, welcoming, and went out of their way to make my stay there memorable and to be sure I would return. Waheed, the soft and loveable Lodge dog, also went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and safe when I went for walks. I love her!||||And, don't forget to look at the stars at night.
