This place is nothing like their advertisement on booking.com. Please, don't book this hotel. It's a scam. The only thing they didn’t lie about is the view on the pyramids. All the pictures on booking/internet are fake. It’s pictures they got on google or some photo stock probably. According to booking.com they have a lot of facilities such as: a bar, a restaurant, a soda/snack machine, a safe, a free shuttle, mini supermarket, airconditioning, anti-allergy rooms, a great breakfast, wifi,… and so on. However all these facilities are NOWHERE to be found. My friend an I did some research and the address on booking is not real. Or at least it doesn’t match the position of the so called ‘hotel’. This exact same ‘hotel’ can be found on booking.com and the internet under a different name: seven eleven for a cheaper price. The rooms were really disgusting. Some examples: bedsheets were everything but clean (footprints on the sheets), a bunch of black hair in the bathroom and everywhere else, a piece of glass in the bathroom, the smell was unbearable when we entered the room, humidity in the walls, towels didn’t smell clean, water was going out on all sides of the shower head so the bathroom was a swimming pool, water in the shower didn’t drain, the toilet had poop from previous guests. ||||They say there’s wifi in all rooms. Another lie. When we complained about this they just unplugged the router and moved it closer to our room. Of course in the morning it was gone and so was the wifi. ||||They say airport shuttle is included but then they still tried to charge us for this. ||We didn’t had toilet paper or even bottled water in the room. And had to ask several times for basic things like this. One day we didn’t had any water coming out of the tap/shower at all. They told us we would get breakfast at 7 the first day but that never happened. The day after, we got breakfast which was nothing like the pictures and not fresh at all. It was just some dry bread with meat which we didn’t dare to eat. We had to wait over an hour for a coffee. Swimming pool was anything but clean. The place is very isolated and hard to find for taxis/ubers (maybe also bc it’s a fake adress)||||||A super weird thing was that after a day I received an email saying our booking was canceled bc my creditcard was declined and if we wanted to guarantee our stay we had to pay asap. Even though I paid the very first day and it was definitely accepted and I even got a receipt. I think they do this so you can’t leave a review anymore or just to try and scare people and get extra money. Bc it also happened to another guest ||||But the worst part was the personnel.. They say the hotel is run by a family. Another lie. It’s a bunch of young dudes and every day we saw different faces. We confronted them many times with the lies and told them it’s a scam. They kept on ignoring it and laughing with us. We asked for a refund and asked to talk to the manager. They never really answered our request to talk to the manager or couldn’t give us an answer on who it was. Suddenly the next day the manager seems to be the guy we spoke to already?! Why didn’t he tell us?? He promised us a refund. The next day as we were waiting for him to come talk to us it took forever.. they were trying to avoid us. Eventually we saw him and confronted him. He was very unprofessional and rude. Saying we were lying (another customer was with us). He was saying we couldn’t talk to other customers. It made us feel really uncomfortable bc he was being so rude. Eventually I called booking and that’s when things got really bad. The ‘manager’ just ignored us and walked out. Afterwards he send his younger colleagues to try to bribe us with €50 if we would write and sign a paper that we were happy at the hotel and didn’t have any complaints.||||In the end we felt so uncomfortable. We were two girls travelling and they came to our room twice at a very late time and we felt a bit threatened and mostly uncomfortable. ||||We would like to say that it’s a disgrace that they call themselves a hotel. Bc it’s nothing like a hotel. They are very unprofessional and promise you a lot of things but nothing ever happens. I really think this is a big scam and this place should be removed! We want to prevent that other tourists have to experience...
Read moreI don't even know where to start... The good reviews must be either from a long time ago (the owner told me he has only been managing this place since November 2021) OR they're paid by the owners or staff to leave good reviews. This listing is a FAKE on so many level. Proper(ty) catfish. Firstly, the photos of the rooms are NOT theirs. I have seen three rooms, neither of looked like ANY of the ones listed amongst their photos. Now let's break down, or shall I say expose what they (do NOT) have listed under facilities... Here goes: NO WiFi (I had to use my UK data just to book a different hotel after the first horrendous night - which cost me £50 GBP with my phone provider) TV was NOT working in our room we did NOT have hot water in our room NO safety deposit box rooms are NOT soundproof (imagine waking up at 5.23am for the prayer, so loud it sounds like you are in the mosque yourself) NO heater in room (came in a mild January weather but the nights are still cold, we were freezing!) NO shared lounge/TV area NO lockers NO vending machine NO atm/cash machine on site NO minimarket on site NO free airport taxi/shuttle NO kids outdoor/play equipment NO evening entertainment NO shared kitchen NO restaurant NO green area around pool NO languages spoken apart from Arabic and broken English
Because there was no WiFi, they made me pay for my stay in cash. I had to ASK for the receipt, they wouldn't offer to give me one. Based on the reviews and photos, I have booked for 7 nights, but we decided to leave after the first night. They have charged me for an extra night and changed their minds about the free airport taxi too. I ended up paying £E 2,500 (£125 GBP) when in reality I only meant to pay for one night and the pyramid tour guide £E 1,500 (£75 GBP). Breakfast was not nice at all (no options either, they just give you want they make, no milk for coffee so they pressure you into having Egyptian coffee). Dinner was decent, but again, they tell you what they will make you and that's it... way too overpriced as well (£E 250 £13 GBP for 2 people) compared to a proper meal in our other hotel downtown Cairo that we got to actually choose (£E 150 £8 GBP for 2 people)
I'd urge you to avoid this place at all cost, because they will rob you from your money. They are liars...
