The hotel is not terribly bad. it would be a good one night stop but not more than that. The staff, all of them from the reception, sales manager, and the general manager were really lovely and helpful. However, I am writing this review so no one else has to face what we faced. We booked the hotel for 14 nights, and we chose the deluxe double room with a pyramid view. The area is terrible, very crowded and ugly. The hotel is a renovated building, it looks nice but nothing inside works properly. The shower was clogged even after asking to get it fixed. The bathroom stinks badly, and the doors are badly fitting that the light and noise from the corridor get in the room. Add to that, every night the staff are too loud, slamming the doors and talking loudly then in the morning the cleaning ladies playing Quran since 6:30 in the morning, seriously, you can't get enough sleep. We seriously had to cut our trip short and get back since we were sick and tired after just one week.
Now let's talk about the astronomical prices of the hotel restaurant! Let's just say their prices are higher than "The Grill" at the intercontinental, which fine dining restaurant. But the quality is equal to a street vendor or worse. Last but not least, the breakfast. Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for breakfast. The eggs are overcooked, and bread & pastry are always old. Then you have to pay extra for the coffee!!!! I have to say also the hygiene is not that great at the breakfast.
Don't let my review discourage you. If you stay there one or two nights, you will probably be fine. But we wouldn't recommend the hotel for longer stays.
P.S. Giza is a very crowded area, and getting anywhere from there is a nightmare. A better area to stay is Zamlek, Maadi,...
Read moreExcellent hotel and staff were lovely, polite, friendly and professional. They went above and beyond to assist us during our stay in this hotel. We have had the misfortune to book another hotel for our Cairo holiday but it was the worst hotel and we checked out after few hours. We booked this hotel and staff were kind enough to let us check in at 10 am and offered us free breakfast. Normally, check in times are after 12pm or 15pm but the reception staff were exceptional especially Muhammad. We stayed a total of 4 nights and it was worth each penny. Every morning the breakfast buffet was served between 7am to 10 am. Breakfast was not luxurious but we are not complaining since their prices were reasonably cheap. The rooftop restaurant offeres stunning views of Pyramids and you can view the city from here. A contingent of female staff clean your room each day and provide you with water, refill the tea/coffee basket, fresh towels and bedding can be changed if you ask them. Overall, brilliant experience and definitely recommend for people who are looking for decent holiday accommodation on a reasonable price.
Minor CONS: Its not a negative feedback or usual moaning hahah but i have to be fair in my review. Rooms needs to be soundproof and management needs to strictly impose the no smoking policy in rooms. I am allegic to smoke and could smell cigarette smoke on one occasion but my Mrs didn't notice anything. May be I'm extremely sensitive to smoke. Hotel is situated on the main road and you can hear the blaring horns of the vehicles 24/7. Just these couple of points but their good customer services outweighs any negative...
Read moreWe just had a holiday in Egypt, and it was amazing. When we arrived, we were very well received by the hotel. We had already made a rough list of what we wanted to see, and the hotel gave us excellent advice on everything. They also had many activities to offer. We ended up participating in activities through the hotel all week. We can safely say that we made the most of our vacation days. From the Pyramids to the Citadel, from Cairo to Luxor, and from the Bazaar to the Dinner Cruise, we saw and did so much—all made possible by the Pyramid Oasis Hotel.
The hotel staff was very friendly and polite, always going above and beyond to make everything possible. Our room was spacious, clean, and pleasant, with the cleaners bringing a ray of sunshine every morning. And, of course, our wonderful driver, Tamer Zaki, who took us from location to location throughout the week of the holiday, was more than just a driver. He was great company, sharing stories about the sights and the city as he drove us around. Egypt is very different compared to our home country, but Tamer always ensured we felt safe and comfortable, both in the car and on the streets. We are so grateful to have had him as our driver and to have gotten to know him. You could see that he genuinely enjoyed his work and sharing his world with us. I can honestly say that I have never met such a sincere and kind person. We are very thankful for the opportunity to meet him.
Thank you so much, Tamer, and everyone at the Pyramid...
