With so many incredible hotels in Cairo, I would say definitely avoid this one.
It is new and although the rooms are nice, this place is an absolute mess in terms of service.
The only people who know how to speak English are the people at the front desk.
They employed obscene amount of people that don’t know what they’re doing or how to communicate.
It started off by waiting two hours for a burger and chicken Shawarma by the pool, when it finally It was completely cold.
I had asked for a ketchup for the fries and we had no napkins or silverware and by the time they finally delivered the ketchup we were already leaving. Our drink so took almost an hour to arrive.
They asked for our room number and when we put it on the room tab, we were disturbed by a phone call demanding to pay for the check, even though we were sleeping. I communicated to them to stop disturbing us and that we will pay when we go back down into the lobby, however, 20 minutes later was greeted by two men knocking on our door, which woke us up a second time to pay for the check that should’ve been free anyway for how long we had to wait and how cold the food was.
Went to dinner and their wine pours were inappropriately small. When another guest complained about how small the pours were, the manager at the restaurant did make up for it by pouring us more however a proceeded with an immediate ask to give them a trip advisor review.
The gym is very nice, however, it’s uncomfortable working out there as a woman when a man is employed to be there 24/7 as a “trainer” and is just standing watching. I know they are attempting to be helpful with bringing you towels and water but it’s a bit excessive and unnecessary.
We also never got room cleaning while we were out. When we return back from our time at the pyramids around 4 PM, we received a phone call letting us know that the laundry is coming however we are greeted with the cleaning service instead that led to an exhausting confusing communication on if they had our laundry simply because they didn’t speak english.
We had sent laundry out, and when it returned, the man lied, and said there was a large stain in the front of the shirt which was never there, and they proceeded to sew lines in the shirt to “hide the stain” that didn’t exist.
They sewed the shirt without our permission, and permanently damaged the shirt.
we looked at the back of the shirt and it looks like they had damaged it as there were rips in it that had never been there before. They also had the audacity to say that, they will take 50% off of the charge of cleaning that specific shirt when they were the ones that had damaged it. And then hilariously enough asked for another trip advisor review.
This place is an absolute headache, I have never recieved such bad service in a hotel ever...
Read moreThis Hyatt hotel is brand new, and it was incredible. My girlfriend and I spent two nights here in February 2025 and we truly enjoyed every minute. First off, the hotel is extremely modern, with a very forward, thinking, modern and futuristic design element. The room had a beautiful view of the pyramids of Giza, and the room was decorated so cool. There were so many unique and interesting pieces of artwork along the walls, the beds were incredibly comfy, and since it was Valentine’s Day, the staff went the extra mile to decorate the bed with a very lovely rose, assortment, spelling out the words I love you. The room also came with a very big flatscreen TV, delicious coffee, and some really nice soap, shampoos and conditioners. Now, onto the pool. This might be the most magnificent hotel pool I have ever seen in my life. The pool first, is gigantic, there is a swim up bar, with lots of food, drinks, and even Shisha. There is also an aqua gym, where you can exercise, along with a really modern and state of the art physical fitness center. The restaurant, dinner lunch, and breakfast was delicious, with many foods, both local Egyptian, as well as other international fair. There was also a very charming bar located in the hotel, and a very pleasant lounge area. Overall, this wasjust a magnificent day, while we spend time with this amazing country. I would definitely stay here again, and I found the rooms to be a very good value. We paid about $270 a night for the pyramid view room, and I can’t wait...
Read moreEgypt, what can I say. The name conjures up all kinds of dreams on adventures one can take and thoughts of events in history.
This hotel on this campus opened up a few years ago. Right across the street is the Hyatt Regency. Both are nice hotels, just that the Hyatt Centric is more chic. Personally, I think I would have liked the Hyatt Regency more...maybe because of my age. 😁
I have Globalist status and therefore upgraded to a suite. Lots of rooms and different buildings.
The room was big enough with space to work. The table and chairs are not most ergonomical for work, but fine otherwise. Nice gym, nice pool, nice restaurant at hotel and restaurants across the street, and nice lobby bar, but one caveat is they allow smoking in the lobby bar area!
Say what! Yes, smoking is allowed in the lobby bar area, which permeates to other areas of hotel like the check in, restaurant, etc.. I deducted 1 star because of this. I believe the Regency was smoke-free as I did not observe smoking.
Safety is important, and the hotel scans, like at airport, all bags and luggage. You also walk thru metal detectors.
The hotel is approximately 6 miles from the famous Pyramids, Sphinx, and the new Grand Egyptian museum. You can see the pyramids from the campus grounds. This is a good location for sure.
Well, would I stay here again? Sure, but as a second to the Regency just across the street because of...
