Hacienda Bay — Hotel in Matruh

Hacienda bay has been going down over the past years. Beaches dirtier, losing the aesthetic design infrastructure , the lake yard becoming plain and boring and losing its unique artistic walls, etc. I speak on the behalf of the owners community when I say it’s been a disgrace working with Palm Hills. The pictures can show how much they neglect proper finishing of the houses/ villas. It looks of horrible quality. Many costly mistakes in the infrastructure of the properties, which show complete lack of expertise! Problems with AC pipes, water source, drainage, walls, finishing paint, plants. The company takes extremely high servicing fees annually, but I can see that this sum of money is not being used properly, nor providing the promised quality for such an expensive cost of properties. The weather is a challenge but that’s what the money owners are paying is for: to make sure the quality is maintained. It has reached a point where even the issues in the compound are being fixed by it’s residents because of the lack of responsibility. I’d rate professionalism as 0/10. If it’s a company fault from the start, it’s liable ti fix and realize it at early stages. To add to the list, the customer service team lack so much knowledge it’s surprising they even have a position! No!!! Really ugly resort. The worse compound in the world. Guys please do not fall into this trap. NO soul, NO decency coupled ridiculous policies about pass codes; you have to show one every time you walk around. More like a prison camp then a holiday resort.

Limited facilities with shops claiming to sell high end products and brands. Can’t believe it myself - low end products with high end prices is more like it.

The beach is incredibly busy with limited spaces with umbrellas. Even if you do get a shady spot you then have to walk back to the gate for the toilet. Again, very poor planning / facilities.

It seems like the whole place is about showing off with little (if any) thought given to making the experience enjoyable.

The only real people you see are those employed on a pittance to serve those with more money than sense, taste or style.

There's a scam going on where the driver pretends he had an iphone that he suddenly lost and demands to go through your stuff or your give him cash!!! A bunch of a scum! we immediately called the police and waited for around an hour until he gave up and pretended that he no longer cared. I expected this place to be "classy" but it's literally trash if they accept this kind of behavior to go around as it's obviously organized.
