We have just returned from a two week stay in Jaz Elite Asteria. We chose to stay in another Jaz hotel after having such a positive experience last year in Aquaviva. Even although the hotel has not long opened it has already established that impeccable Jaz feel. For us, it is also truly deserving of its Elite status as the look, feel and service we experienced was exceptional. We were also pleased to see more female staff as this was more unusual for us to see on previous visits to Hurghada. It is the people that work in these resorts that truly elevate your stay. It was such a privilege to be able to get to know the team and their enthusiasm for the hotel really shone through.||||Our initial concerns about not having a designated package holiday rep on site at the hotel were alleviated by the efficient and dedicated team at reception. Khaled Bakry the Assistant Front Office Manager went above and beyond to ensure our happiness throughout our stay. We were also thoroughly impressed by Mohamed who always had a kind smile and was very patient and knowledgeable. Daily check-ins from guest relations were also appreciated. ||||We travelled with two young children (5 & 7) and it was great to see the animation team and kids club become more established as our stay progressed. They shared with us their plans for the future and we can’t wait to go back and see it come in to fruition! Alex worked tirelessly to lead the team everyday and is a credit to the hotel.||||Our room was serviced each day by Ahmed (1622). He always cleaned to a high standard and took time to get to know us - it was the little extras that really mattered and made us smile. We loved that clean pool towels would appear by magic each evening ready for the next day!||||Food is a massive plus point for this hotel with 5 a la carte restaurants. We had the opportunity to visit each during our stay and were blown away every time. At each visit we were greeted by the different chefs and it was clear to see how passionate they all were about delivering culinary excellence! A special thank you has to go to Medhat Mohamed, the Sous Chef in the Italian restaurant - he made the final day of our holiday unforgettable! The Italian restaurant was also our regular lunch spot and by the end of our stay the team had become our friends. We’ll miss practicing our Egyptian Arabic with you daily! Randa, Dina, Islam and Abd(ul?) thank you so much for your care each day. Not to forget Waseem - nothing we asked for was ever a problem and his laugh was infectious! ||||Amazing food and service is not limited to the a la carte restaurants. We had breakfast each day in the main restaurant and were always warmly welcomed. Special mention to Ali Abo Zuid and Khaled from the waiting staff. Ali you are a diamond and we wanted for nothing when you were around. Khaled’s smile and enthusiasm always ensured we started our day laughing. My son has a severe nut allergy and each day the chef team were out on the floor to answer any questions I had about ingredients ensuring a safe trip for our family. There are nuts in a lot of the local cuisine but the team ensured that there was plenty of variety available for him. We looked forward to seeing the female chefs behind the egg station and balady bread oven each day. Thank you for cooking so many plain omelettes every day for my fussy eater and showing such patience in teaching them how to prepare balady bread. I’m sorry we never got your names.||||Pool 2 (number one in our eyes) is opposite the Italian and was our favourite place to spend our days. When the kids were happy in the kids club it was the perfect place to relax. The best cocktails of our entire stay were served here by Mohamed with the most beautiful smile. His drinks were innovative, always aesthetically presented and absolutely delicious! We’ll also miss Mahmoud from the Lifeguard Team stopping by to clean our sunglasses. He always showed a genuine interest in getting to know us and was great with the kids. ||||I’m sure there are others we have forgotten to mention. Thank you so much to all at Asteria for an unforgettable holiday - we hope to be back soon! Good luck for your first...

Read moreWow! Where do I start?! We booked Jaz Elite Asteria for our Honeymoon and we have just returned from the best holiday we have ever had! We always stay at 5* hotels in various countries but this hotel goes above and beyond 5 stars. It only opened in March this year so for only a few months being opened, you would not have known. The staff are amazing! Friendly, kind, very efficient, always checking if you need anything else. Don’t be put off that there are not 1000s of reviews as I said - only been open for a few months and other hotels have been open for years. ||We arrived for our honeymoon and had booked a swim up room which was very clean, beautiful scenery and just pure luxury!|Guest relations contacted us to meet her for her to book us into their 5 other restaurants (included with all inclusive!) and to do something special for our honeymoon. We were so well looked after. But all guests are at this hotel so you will enjoy a luxury service anytime! |Food in buffet restaurant - so much choice all the time - fresh food, hot, plenty of choice and lots of available tables that are always being cleared for next guests. Waiting staff bring you drinks regularly and chat to you about your holiday.|Asian restaurant - Amazing! Best one we ate at - great choices, delicious flavours and lots of options.|Italian - very good, tasty food|Arabic - very nice mezze platters, great flavours|White Sands Beach - also open at lunchtime - we ate here every day for lunch as serve amazing burger sliders and steak for lunch! Very delicious and right near the beach so breezy and great view |Mexican - Great food, lots of choice and tasty ||All the restaurants have outstanding service! They are very friendly, assertive, always chat to you and make you feel welcome and making sure you are topped up with fresh cold water. They work very hard - all day and night in the heat but are always smiling and happy.||In the swim up rooms, we had a bar man who constantly kept bringing us drinks very frequently which is so nice when you are just relaxing and don’t want to walk to the bar! It is good to take some euros or dollar bills to give some tips as they all work so hard and treat every guest like royalty- a true 5* experience. They don’t expect it but do work for it so is a nice gesture. We didn’t tip all day every day just on occasions for the repeat service we received. |Entertainment team! Well what fun they all are and always engaging with the guests but not pushy and will let you relax. Lots of sports to get involved in and put on some fun shows in the evening after the evening entertainment, usually something like a dance act/ acrobatics etc but very good shows. |Special mentions to Katiya (not sure if I’ve spelt correctly!) Omar and the new English girl (I forgot your name so sorry!) for making our stay truly special and we had some great laughs with you all.||Take sea shoes for the beach as it’s a bit of a walk into the sea to get some depth but when you do it’s gorgeous! Turquoise warm waters! They are currently building a jetty which will make it easier to reach the deeper water.||Overall, we had the most amazing honeymoon and holiday at Jaz Elite Asteria- we were so well looked after and enjoyed every minute. I’m glad I didn’t pick any other hotel in Hurghada just because they had more reviews for being opened longer. This hotel has 5/5 reviews already just from the guests that have stayed since opening and will continue to build great reviews. I cannot fault this hotel and we have stayed in some very luxurious hotels across the world. We never usually go to the same place again on holidays but this hotel - we will 100% be returning - Beyond...
