We have been there with friends from 1st May till 9th May 2022. Hotel is clean, friendly personal with a great attractions - every day different shows, takings care of kids. It is quiet big, but compact, which is great when you are with kids and you can see where they are. One of the best reefs with turtles. - Food is great, with different countries specialties. The only thing is there were no sea food. During the seafood dinner(one day) there was only 2-3 type of fish and thats it. And unfortunately quiet often garnish is cold. - Family room is great - you have one king bed, and two sofas. So, for 2 adults and two kids(8 and 13 years old) is great. One day there was also a big bug in a bathroom, but nothing terrible. There is safe in the room, refrigerator and TV. TV didnt worked - no channels, but this is not a big problem. Cleaning service works great - cleaning and also putting the new bottled water every day. Beach towels are included in advance to the normal towels. - from the first row(#10XX) you will not see the sea, but great view on the swimming pool - pictures are from our room on first row. 3rd row(#30xx) they have two options - first floor view is to the entire area(swimming pool etc) and sea as well. Second floor view is to sea side, but first hal is to the side where you will see mostly the desert and sea, second half you will see the beach and sea. ======================================================== The only key concern that we had is would be much better to have the hotel wrist straps made from rubber. Currently they are made from plastic(old style), and when you are swimming or changing the clothes, you are scratching your body skin - this is very uncomfortable.

Malikia Resort is located on the shore of Red Sea. It has very nice beach and very nice coral reef within 5 to 10 minutes walk from the hotel. It is possible to snorkel at the reef with the entrance form the hotel's pier. However this reef is very deep and not recommended for beginners. We have met turtle here. The other reef is between Malikia Resort and Hilton Hotel and is approachable from the beach. Both are reach in colorful fishes In the hotel you can find small shops on the ground floor where you can buy all kind of souvenirs from Egypt. I also recommend massages in DeLaRosa Spa. All masseuse are really good! The staff is friendly and can create all kind of animals from the towels. The aquapark is fun but needs some renovation (rust and peeling paint from the tower walls). The biggest weakness of this place was food. Most of the dishes were tasteless and without spices. It is a pity as the Arabic cuisine is known for the spices, fruits and very good tea. The desserts tasted all this same, even baklavas were nutless. We had to ask for other than green tea flavors. We need to wait 3 days for the mint tea which is so typical for this region. If you care for your weight, this hotel will be the best choice 😀

The hotel would have been ok (not good and definitely not great) if it hadn’t been for the constant construction noise that you could hear everywhere. They’re building a new restaurant at the beach and the workers are there with their power drills from morning till sundown. You can hear it at the beach, at the pool, at the balcony of the restaurant and we heard it in our room, too. It was so annoying, we complained with our travel agency and they moved us to a different hotel. The food was ok (we always found something to eat, but it wasn’t enjoyable to eat). The service was ok but not attentive. It was very loud in the restaurant, especially from the waiters throwing cutlery around when clearing the tables. The rooms were standard, nothing special. The pool was nice, very warm. The child care would have been nice. The place looked like children would enjoy playing there. But it’s directly next to the construction work, so it was so loud that our daughter refused to go there. Stay: February 2022, we left after 2 days and had a wonderful holiday in a different hotel 15 minutes north

When you reading reviews from Egypt Red sea resorts, you will often find bed comments about the food and the stuff and if resorts are below 4-5 star, then also very often about hygiene. Thing is, that Egypt is Africa and you cant expect home kitchen and also dont expect that 5 star in Egypt is the same as 5 star in Europe. But here`s why only three star rating from me. Hotel is quite nice, pools are very clean, gardens well maintained, beach is probably one of the best that Red sea resorts can offer you, since you have nice sand beach with normal depth entrance (you don't have to walk long distance to reach depth). Sea is absolutely fabulous and if I have the option for rating sea and the beach than that rating will be 12 stars. Hotel beach is part of public Abu Dabbab beach which has few very interesting cafes, bars and juice shops. So regarding beach enjoyment, snorkeling and diving this resort is dream resort. But.... when you enter hotel main hall, lounge ... you will notice that it's quite hot there (AC has died), you will also notice that you can see same people working there in 12 - 15 hours shifts!? Which produce not so happy faces of working stuff, but the guests also. Whith limusine (Taxi) service be extremely careful and insist on better price and payment after you get back in hotel, because of 3 drives, 2 of them were 30/45 minutes late in start and with all three of them we had problems in return timing. If i could rate separate then the limusine service is maximum 1 star. Problem in food is not so much problem with food since you always find something which you can eat for you and your family, but the problem is in organisation, understaffing and quite horrible service at all. Simple we didn't feel welcomed in restaurant at all. They are trying realy and from time to time you can live some nice moments in restaurant but quality in service is based on contiunity and that is somthing that Malikia resort restourant does not have. Hotel has standard water trick for Egypt resorts, you pour water from water dispensers or buying bottled water, which overall is annoying, especially when you notice that water from dispensers has strange taste and you want to by bottle of water for dinner and waiter tells you that you should go up and buy water from the lounge bar, because they don't serve bottled water in restaurant!? So, hotel could be one of the best in the world if you in search for ultimate snorkling and diving spot and nothing else metters than you will have no regrets and any improvement of all above mentioned you will recive as bonus ;) Diving.De diving center which you can find there may be litlle bit pricey but the crew is fantastic, organisation is German, so overall quality is like Mercedes ;) end overall expiriance is awsome! Unfortunately besides fabulous beach and underwater world, very nice and clean pool and gardens, hotel service downgrading overall impression. Must say that when I say service I dont include Massage center which was great, Animation team which are bustnig their ... to compensate damage made in hotel...

We’ve had a wonderful Christmas break at Malikia. It is a huge resort with beautiful gardens all around. Very clean and well looked after. Although some places may seem a bit dated, the hotel and all facilities were more than functional. Beautiful reef around. Can spot turtles and dolphins as well as plenty of colourful fish. There are nice sunbeds and wind shields on the beach so you can enjoy the sunshine even on a windy day. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Nothing was ever too much to ask. We stayed over the Christmas period and Malikia has organised a truly wonderful Christmas Dinner. The food was delicious and the presentation was truly incredible. The amount of effort that must have gone into preparing this event is unimaginable. Although most of the staff in the resort have been very polite and helpful, we found that the staff working in the reception were not as welcoming as others and it would be great if they could provide more information on arrival, such as: meal times, a little map around the resort, a little information about what is available and where and more information about check out. They only provided this info when specifically asked and only answered with a few words, giving the impressing that they were too busy to give a more detailed answer. As front of the house, the reception staff should be more warm and welcoming. Overall we have enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to anyone else who is looking for a lovely relaxing time in Egypt.

Pros: Delicious fresh food - some food stations did live cooking. Good variety Clean resort, rooms, beach etc Friendly and helpful staff Nice house reef Nice drinks/cocktails in the main bar Very comfortable bed

Cons: Reception staff not very attentive Drinks/cocktails at the beach bar and pool bar ...
