JAZ Neo Sharks Bay — Hotel in South Sinai

My Mom and I just finished a week at Jaz Sharks Bay! Thank you so much for having us! Everything has been spot on from start to finish!!! We’ve had such a brilliant holiday! We’d definitely return!

Close to the airport! So no long trip on a coach at the end of our holiday! Close to soho square. Taxis, coach to the beach all available. Tui rep was seem plenty of times! Booked the Red Sea package with boat trip, quads and tour. Bargain price! Enjoyed it all!

Our room was cleaned throughly! I even brought detol wipes… I used one and it wasn’t dirty after use! Our room was spotless! Ahmed, our cleaner, made such an amazing effort for my mom’s 50th birthday! I blew up a some balloons and had some confetti and a banner! He went the extra mile! When we returned to our room, we were gobsmacked! I’ve added a pictured! We did have a slight inconvenience with our room. There was louder than normal humming noise coming from the extractor fan/air con compressor on the roof. Sometimes it would stay on for ages even if we had nothing on/weren’t using anything. Sometimes it would sound at 0430am. We informed reception after the first night and they had someone go up and check it out. When we went back they said they couldn’t find any issues but would be happy to change our room. By then we’d already unpacked and started to settle! So we stayed in our room, but grateful for the effort made.

The pool bar staff, they’re so friendly! All have a good sense of humour! They’re all so well presented too! Not something I’m use to in the UK! Clean, clean, clean! If I had to, the one bad thing was our food orders from the dolphin pool bar got mixed up a few times, however, when we did receive our food, we loved it! The burgers are really nice! The Greek salad was lovely too! We didn’t drink any alcohol so can’t comment on that. But soft drinks are as you’d expect!

Buffet restaurant, pretty standard. Lots of chicken dishes, lots of potato. But always able to fill my plate and feel satisfied. We didn’t get ill, which is something you hear a lot of. We didn’t do anything in particular to avoid this, it just didn’t happen to us.

Finally, the entertainment! Full of energy! So positive! So happy and genuine! Not in your face like other places I’ve been! Refreshing to see people actually enjoy their work! And they do work hard!!! Zayn, he doesn’t take a break! He’s go go go all day all night!! They do their utmost best to please everyone! If there’s one thing Jaz can do for them, is get the entertainment team a Spotify premium account! The music is repetitive! But they work with that they’ve got! Spotify premium would be a decent investment! Something for everyone! Evening entertainment included belly dancers, violinist, saxophone, bingo with a twist!

Be quick getting your sunbeds. We went to breakfast at 0700 and majority were taken on the pool tier. It’s cooler down there with a breeze understanble.

On the first day that I had arrived they gave me a dirty room filled with dust and stains on sheets tried ringing reception to notify them but the phone was not working, I got to the hotel around 8 in the evening so was super tired also had a toddler with me so tried settling her but could not due to the dusty dirty room, I could not breath. In the morning went to reception they swapped my room to another room this was clean but I was very disappointed as this should have been looked at before giving someone a dirty room filled with dust and stains on sheets. When sleeping around 2,3 in the morning heard allot of banging and shouting it woke my toddler up even though I was in the family room area I was annoyed and very sad, the rooms look good in pictures but when you see them in real life they are nothing to the pictures the rooms are small the kitchen was also very dirty with marks on the draws and sink dirty I wanted to wash my toddlers bottle and saw the dirt. The cleaners do not clean the room properly they did not change my bed sheets they just made the beds even though I requested a proper clean but still they did not do it when the shampoo finished they didn’t refill the hotel bottles just removed them. I wanted to play snooker but had to pay an additional 5 dollars even though I had payed for all inclusive I was angry and sad, I also had some things taken from my room like a bracelet but after two days it was not there anymore this made me angry. The food is not great it’s a repeat they need to change it up or have more of an variety as it can get repetitive, when relaxing next to the pool the reps could not stick to playing music they kept on playing it half way and then changing and then messing about I came here to experience Egypt and the culture so I expected them to also play Arabic music and not the same music I have heard all my life I came to Egypt If I wanted that vibe I would of just stayed in the uk. When leaving I asked the staff if they could bring my bags it took them more then half hour to do so when I told them I have a private car picking me up I was like what is going on. They need to train there staff clean the rooms probably and make sure that the rooms are clean if I come back to Egypt I would not come back to this hotel very boring they have no entertainment for children so it’s very boring. My child would come down to the pools on the kids side she had to play in cold water they said they would heat them but not staff member approached regarding this had one staff member come up to me but could not speak English I could not understand them at all. Over all I am very disappointed with the hotel they need to work on how to clean rooms probably and how to communicate with...

This was our first time coming to Egypt. We booked to come here due to TUI stating this hotel as a 4 star- rating our experience unfortunately it is more like a 3 star.

On our arrival all the staff were very welcoming, the receptionist informed us “mini bar can be used but if want refilling then there will be a charge” which we understood. We booked a double superior room, when arrived to our room we were given two single beds & were informed “can be pushed together”. As we expressed we were not impressed with this so they were decent enough to change us to another room. When we arrived to our next room it was very out dated & dirty as my feet were black by 2 mins being in there & the lock on the slide doors was broken so didn’t feel comfortable as anyone could of got into our room. Again we complained to the TUI rep and moved us rooms again. Then the hotel wanted to charge us £30 in English as we used mini bar in old room but they informed us differently in the first place & bar was filled before we moved in so that was really naughty of them- they even tried charging for items we didn’t even use! The shower didn’t even work as kept running through the tap every 2 mins & water stopped working in middle of shower…..so had to ring reception regarding that.

On the first day of the pool there was building works going on with one of the rooms which caused loud constant drilling noises all day, we raised this with the TUI rep again as we were not informed in the first place about this going on before arrival. We even had to record this as looked like TUI wasn’t even aware of this happening.

Regarding the sun bed situation for the hotel also was appalling as on the protocol sheet they hand you it’s states “any towels over an hour the staff have the right to remove them”. I completely under stood they were fully booked but there were people reserving sun beds around 4am but wasn’t using until gone 10am. We reported this to reception as started to get worse by people then doing it overnight & there were no staff removing these towels. All the staff just said will report to the manager but nothing was done.

The food was very repetitive & not given a lot of choice at meal times. The waiters were very polite & always wanted to do enough for you. Again I cannot fault the staff at this hotel.

One of the entertainment people asked us to write a 4 star on here, I clearly stated this will not be happening as not even deserved due to our experience so far. Very disappointing & will not be...
