We enjoyed our stay at El Torogoz very much. Lovely courtyard and pool. Our small dogs were welcome. The neighborhood is nice for walking, with several restaurants and bars to choose from. Our vehicle, with a roof rack full of things, could not fit under the entrance to their parking area. However, they have a 24-hour security guard who kept an eye on it while it was parked in the driveway. Highly recommended for a stay in San Salvador.||There was a bit of mis-communication regarding laundry. We asked if there was a self-service laundry in the area, and the housekeeper immediately took our clothes and said she would be happy to wash them. The rooms are clean and simple, with very good air conditioning (San Salvador's heat can be intense) and comfortable beds. The price is competitive and it is in a great part of the city - not the uber-fancy (and uber-expensive) areas but a safe, clean neighborhood close to the national university and lots of food. I definitely plan to return...
