El Patio De Don Moncho — Hotel in Santa Tecla

I checked in at 4am the morning of Jan 24, 2024. Had paid for a week . I checked out at 11am the same morning... the pictures are from maybe years ago. Mom and I were given a make shift room with overused mattresses that had seen decades of use. The sheets had stains, we I slept in our clothes and covered the pillows with our shawls. The floor leading to the room we kept tripping on because the loose , plastic stone like tiles kept coming out. The plants in the courtyard are dying . The breakfast supposedly provided is across the street eatery, and that's if they have enough food the front desk person said. I do not know how this place gets stars for ratings. Fake Bots? If you want to visit Santa Tecla, it is a central location, but that is about it. Please stay away. If I could give it negative stars , I would. Oh, I paid almost three hundred for the night, the refund policy sucks and the front desk guy just gives excuses that the owner is not available who can authorize refund.

You are incorrect in your reply. My reservation was dated Jan 23. In addition I called multiple times and spoke with Christian letting him and your edtabloshment know I would arrive early morning hours of Jan 24. I was assured and reassured each time that the room would be held for us and there would be no problem checking in at that hour. Glenda and the staff at El Patio De Don Moncho were the best! We decided to stay in Santa Tecla last minute while visiting with friends and needed to find a room on short notice. My friend and I ended up getting so frazzled and turned around trying to find a hotel, we ended up calling this place and they did not hesitate to come find us in the city center and give us a ride to the hotel. Glenda was so kind and welcoming. She made us feel comfortable and helped us get settled in. The room was clean, hotel safe, and breakfast was delicious! Good location right in the centre. Passable inner yard, nice and quiet in its far end. Rather poor breakfast. The rooms near reception are quite noisy and unpleasant: dark, unkempt, neglected, uncomfortable; the bath is dismal, lousy shower, barely tepid thread of water. Inconsiderate staff, making unnecessary noise at night and pretending the guest MUST endure it. Unable to take a critic. After I complained about the noise, they insulted me.
