Lahemaa Kohvikann — Hotel in Haljala vald

Don’t waste your time and money! We didn’t try the food because the place was closed, even though the gate and online information indicated it was open. The only note was that a reservation was required, which we didn't see. However, when we arrived, the lady was so shockingly impolite that we wouldn't want to go there even if it were open.

Instead of writing a bad review right away, I texted them on WhatsApp to share my feedback and give them a chance to apologize. Their response was unprofessional and dismissive, revealing a complete lack of hospitality and customer service. We never even got the chance to say if we wanted to eat or just have a drink.

I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. Palmse Kõrts, just a few meters away, had decent food and friendly service. Go there instead.

I cannot comprehend how people can harbor such negativity and hostility towards friendly guests who simply wanted to spend money at their place. The level of frustration and hostility we encountered was truly baffling and...

We came to have dinner at this place and oh boy we regret it, to say the least. The owner asked if we had the reservation at the restaurant,which we didn’t and she seemed very angry that we didn’t have the reservation,yet she let us in. The place was empty btw. When we had the dinner and AFTER we paid, she told us that we were “lucky” we got in and usually it is only by the reservation. She proceeded to tell us that young people can write ,but can’t read as it says on her website that the restaurant is only by the reservation. Side note: when you’re looking for a place to eat,google shows opening hours first, and not that the place has to be booked in advance. The place was nearly empty when we arrived on Sunday evening, and still we had to wait at the entrance at the sign "wait until you are seated", so we have waited and waited, ringed three times and finally an annoyed woman showed up asking us if we have booked. She was rather angry and aggressive, very unfriendly. We told we haven't booked and asked if it was okay. She became even more annoyed as if we had to beg her for something.
