Mamma Mia Pizzeria Italiana & Guesthouse — Hotel in Hiiumaa vald

There is not a big choice of restaurants at Hiiumaa. In this regard Mamma Mia is pretty good. In the most centre of the only town, cosy and small wooden villa with a terrace. Mostly pizza place, but they have few pastas and few main cause dishes. The separate fish menu, but unfortunately all from frozen fish. We were not suggested any local fresh fish, which is very pity for an sea island. Lack of classical Italian starters or snacks for sharing. Only “antipasto” for bit ridiculous price of 25 e. Good meat soup, good salmon pasta and good pizzas. Wine and beer also fine. Service could be much better. At our first visit we still were eating when waitress already wished to pack our pizza to the box 😂 Second time we asked for coffee after the dinner and we were having coffee with all our empty dishes...

The place was nice. The pizzas that we tried were tasty. The service was a bit slow, we got menus ourselves and after went to order at the bar. About 15 minutes after getting our order the waiter informed us that the place was booked for a group and they would arrive in 15 minutes and as we were not finished yet, we should take the food with us or move outside. It was not very nice (probably they knew the situation before our order), but complementary dessert or coffee could be a nice gesture or at least a hand taking our plates outside. We ordered a pizza and lasagna bolognese and two small salads. The wait for the food was long, one waitress was overwhelmed with work while the other one was not helpfull.
