I came to this hotel with my daughter who is a wheelchair user. The first time I stayed at this hotel was for one day and I had extremely positive impressions. However, my second visit, which was over Christmas, lasted three days and left me with negative emotions.||The first thing that disappointed me was the problem with accessibility for people with disabilities. A Christmas tree was set up in an aisle designated for wheelchair users and mothers with small children. The administration did not take any action to move it and free up the aisle, although they could have taken the initiative. Instead, they suggested I use the entrance at the back, where the hotel parking lot is and which they said was more convenient for elevator access. However, as you can see in the attached photos, this entrance is not wheelchair accessible. The hotel staff and management saw me agonizing each time to get inside the hotel with my wheelchair, but not once in three days did anyone offer me assistance.||As for parking, I was given a space on request, but the next day, a little confused about the location, I parked closer to the garden to make it easier to pass with a stroller to the main entrance. The parking guard ordered me to move my car as the space belonged to the hostess of the hotel. However, during the three days of stay, not once was the hostess seen to appear.||The quality of the room also left much to be desired. Although I booked a budget room again, it was in much worse condition than the previous time. Old, worn out furniture that clearly needs replacing long ago, musty smell of carpeting, and there was trash under the bed and furniture. The room is clearly in need of cosmetic repairs. It also appeared that when using the water in the shower room there was a lot of noise in the room which interfered with rest.||Room cleaning was also inadequate. When asked to clean the room, the staff was limited to only replacing the trash bag in the hamper and changing towels. Used diapers left next to the hamper were left untouched, dirty glasses were not put away and the bed was also not made.||Three receptionists changed during the three day stay. Most of them were unfriendly except for one older woman who left a positive impression.||Both rooms I stayed in lacked ventilation, which made it uncomfortable.||As for the breakfasts, overall they were plentiful and good, but for a short stay. Would have liked more variety, such as alternating types of porridge, as all three days only oatmeal was offered. It would also be worth reducing the range of canned fish from herring and herring and adding something new to the menu.||In conclusion, unfortunately my second visit to Hotel Dzingel was an extremely disappointing and unpleasant experience, leaving me feeling completely disillusioned. Especially depressing is the indifference to the problems of accessibility for people with disabilities, the poor quality of the rooms and the formal and sometimes even rude attitude of the staff. We, as guests from Finland, expected a much more attentive and respectful approach, but, alas, we encountered a complete lack of care and understanding on the part of the hotel. This attitude to customers is unacceptable and we are extremely saddened by...
Read moreWe stayed in Dzingel Hotel with my Family - 2 adults and 4 kids. We were going to Imagine Dragons concert and all Hotels in Tallin were already booked, and those which were not increased prices 2-3 times so double room was around 400 Euro in other 3 star Hotels!!!
We booked last available rooms - double and quadruple. They notified me on check in that I've booked economy type of rooms but at least it will be on the same floor and more or less close to each other. Rooms were quite OK. It was clean, they provided all of us with towels, soap and shampoo. There was no air condition in rooms, so despite it was not hot outside (+18C) in the rooms it was a bit stuffy.
Location is rather far from Song Contest Festival Hill and from City Center but there is Bus stop just in front of the hotel. Direct public Bus 5 departs and brings you just in place in 20 minutes. After concerts usually they provide extra busses so it was not a problem for us to come back to Hotel after the concert (concert ended just after midnight)
Breakfast is the thing that really surprises in this hotel. It is much better than you could have expected. Hotel was fully booked for these days, but there was no lack of food and beverages. They serve very good breakfast with omelette, eggs, different sausages, bacon, vegetables, pancakes, diferent types of cheese salami and herring.
I would say if you are travelling for a concert and do not want to pay triple-price and have an acceptable room and good breakfast it is...
Read moreTerrible hotel. We were there for 3 days in July. Even though it was 29-30 °C (84 – 86 °F) outside, in the room it was much hotter. There was no air-conditioning anywhere in the whole hotel, so we almost couldn’t sleep at all. I asked for a fan and the receptionist give us a small one, but it didn’t help at all. During our 3 days they only changed out towels but never cleaned the room. The breakfast was the highlight of the hotel, but even that is low standard. De boiled potatoes were half raw. 20 minutes waiting for the omelet which turns out didn’t contain almost any egg in it. Because of the no aircon in the whole hotel we tried to go outside in the garden but we weren’t allowed to do that. So, we had to consume out breakfast in the extreme heat inside the hotel. In the evening we were in the hotel garden, speaking with each other, because it was unbearable hot in the rooms. The two hotel security guards Mr. Toomas and Mr. Meelis were constantly bothering and harassing us. They threatened us and gave us 3 options: Go to our rooms and sleep Leave the Hotel, but then we can never come back Or stay in the garden and go to jail. They even called the police on us. The police came, stayed for half an hour. We were doing exactly the same as before, but the police didn’t find anything wrong with us, so they left. The security guards kept on harassing us. Stay away...
