I would absolutely not stay here again! So much false advertising; the hair salon is not open, the spa offers limited services, no balcony in room as promised, TV, phone, and fridge didn’t work at check in, Check in was pretty slow and tedious!
Room is nice and clean. I got a corner room so lighting was pretty good with views of the city. Reserved a room with balcony but they told me once I got there that single rooms only have Shared balcony per floor. Shower is a decent size and looks clean enough, good water pressure as well. Bed possibly designed for a child, it’ll have to do.
Phone didn’t work, tv didn’t work, fridge didn’t work. I called front desk with my personal phone and was promised someone will be right up but I believe they forgot! I kept calling but they stopped answering the phone. I went to the lobby myself and apparently the guy got busy so I just had to wait. The reason I needed the phone was for room service; it wasn’t getting fixed anytime soon so I just had to go to the restaurant in person. We come to hotels for the connivence and it seems like there is none here. After about 2 hours of waiting the person who fixes the phone came to my room. It was a serious wiring issue in which the phone wire was not even connected to the line which means the phone never worked in that room. I just gave up trying to get the fridge fixed: I assumed it would take another decade.
There are some exceptional workers who go out of their way to ensure customers are satisfied. Lamesgen is the concierge who was the most helpful to me. I told him how disappointed I was regarding the issue with the phone, tv, balcony and such and he made sure to uplift me. He tried to make sure my concerns were addressed to the best of his ability and even fixed the TV for me. I’m only giving the second star because of his kindness! Dawit from the restaurant service was also amazing and provided thoughtful customer service.
Once the TV worked, there seem to be around 48 channels. About 30 don’t work ( waiting for signal) the rest are in arabic/turkish and about 2 channels in English. Not sure who the target population is but couldn’t find anything to watch!
The hotel claims to have a hair salon included but when I asked about their hair services, they told me they currently don’t have hair services. One of the many false advertisements! Now I have to go out of my way find a hair salon .
Restaurant had good vegetarian buffet for lunch.lunch was always the same buffet so I had to explore around to find other food options! They brought an amazing pasta dinner to my room, definitely delicious .
All in all, if you plan to stay in the hotel for most of your visit, this is not the place. The spa has very limited offerings, the hair salon is not operational, the tv channels are not many to choose from. I’ll give it 2 stars because of the location, city view, fast wifi and pretty good restaurant. They can work on improving their response time when a customer doesn’t have the amenities that were advertised...
Read moreI recently stayed at Eliana for about 3 weeks. I was impressed with the building which was clean, the lobby was nice with plenty of space, sofas, tables, cafe next door, and a self playing grand piano, classy touch. The elevators nearly always worked, were available, and quick. The 4th floor has a resturaunt (6am-10am breakfast), gym (which had everything you need), pools, sauna, spa, steam room, and fairly inexpensive 1 hour full body massages(600brr). You don't even need to leave the hotel to feel like you're on vacation. I took one star off due to the food not being so good. It's ok but you'll definetly have to eat out to taste great food. Now they do have 24 hr room service which is convenient but I only enjoyed the pasta. Service was great. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The cleaning ladies did a good job as well as the front desk. The only thing was I asked for an Iron like 3 days and never got one, maybe to help their dry cleaning service which is inexpensive. 45brr per shirt. My room was nice, beds comfortable, had a security safe that worked, closet space, nice working bathrooms with no issues, and wifi which worked well in the day but not so great at night. Room also has balconies with a view and you get two free waters per day. They also offer 24hour security at the front with metal detectors so once you're in the hotel it's very safe and the area is safe as well due to high security. They have parking garages for parking as well. Overall it's a good hotel for a fair price that offers plenty of amenities. On the 14th floor they have a bar lounge and nightclub with a dj and live...
Read moreI recommended Eliana for family members when they come from abroad and they stay as long as a month at the hotel. But today my experience was the worst I have experienced in any hotel. I am a medical doctor & have a masters from Israel. Today I went to use the lobby to write a work related writing for PhD. I lost my mother 3 months ago and working and functioning properly was and is becoming difficult for me. so I went there because I wanted a place of serenity. I stayed there for 4 hours and the waitress came to tell me that they dont allow customers to sit for a long time. And she said the management said so. I didnt want to say anything back but paid for my 2 coffees and water that I ordered and left without saying anything. I was dressed modestly with jeans and sweater. I would understand if the lobby was full of customers , but to my surprise it was empty. I was thinking of a lot of things would they say this to me if I was another race or even if I was a man? Its acceptable to be mistreated in another country but to be mistreated in your country it is the...
