Overall a fantastic stay in Yap that I highly recommend for divers. Pretty close to perfect. Pro: - I think the pictures on here capture the place perfectly. It's a very beautiful property that feels a bit like an old boat inside. The balconies are directly facing the water. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom. A fridge. Very strong AC. Cleaning every day. Tough no pool. But you are right on the ocean anyway. - Dive operator I used (Nature's way) is picking you up and dropping you off straight from the property by boat. Super convenient. - They have a very pretty bar. Though at the time of my visit no food. For breakfast the manta ray resort is right next door. Dinner on Sunday manta ray was the only option. Other options on other days within a short walk. - Overall very friendly staff - Airport pickup included in the price even at the weird 1am United airlines schedule was very smooth as well. - to accomodate the weird late night United departure they offer to charge 50% daily rate, which is also very convenient - Yap's largest store right next door aswell, which was open on Sunday so I could pick up a few thinks right after my Sunday morning arrival at reasonable prices - Oh, importantly, the owner is incredibly responsive to emails. Literally within a few minutes to hours at most for any questions. I had reached out to other places where I didn't get a response for 2 weeks.

I love this place. The rooms have the feel of cabins on an old ship. Every room has a balcony right on the water. The library is a great place to hold a meeting with half a dozen people. The bar and lounge has to be the most elegant on the island. Every member of the staff is friendly and helpful. I plan to stay here again every time I return to Yap.

Nothing but great things to say. I am in love with this place - clean, good beds, listen to the water right outside your room while you sleep. The service was amazing and everyone is super nice!

An Ideal Destination for Business and/or Leisure: My recent stay at O'Keefe Waterfront Inn in Yap State, FSM, was a remarkable experience that I highly recommend to both business and leisure travelers seeking a peaceful and productive environment. This inn not only offers impeccable service and luxurious accommodations but also provides a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation and work. From the moment I arrived, the attentiveness of the staff were evident. Every detail was thoughtfully handled, from the warm welcome to the service throughout my stay. The team is dedicated to ensuring that guests enjoy a seamless experience, whether you're here for business, research, or leisure.

The rooms at O'Keefe Waterfront Inn are thoughtfully designed with varnished wooden padded walls and floors that exude warmth and elegance. The private balcony in my room provided an unobstructed view of the ocean and horizon, offering a tranquil setting to unwind and reflect. The peaceful surroundings, combined with the gentle sound of the ocean, made it an ideal retreat for both relaxation, ambiance and focus.

For business travelers, the inn provides an excellent library space, perfect for meetings, research, or as a quiet work station. The library is equipped with fast, unlimited Wi-Fi, allowing you to stay productive in a serene environment. The pictures protray an exemplary historical and traditional perspective of Yap culture. The books to read were rich in the historical connection of tradition and the harmonizing influence of sailors that brought opportunities of peaceful union of bond and unique kinship. I was impressed with the collection of portraites and books. A good read!

The room amenities are equally impressive, with a hair dryer, mini refrigerator, safe box, flat-screen TV, and complimentary coffee, ensuring that all your needs are met during your stay. Daily room cleaning and towel changes further enhance the overall comfort of the experience.

What sets O'Keefe Waterfront Inn apart is its serene setting, perfect for both work and leisure. The peaceful atmosphere of the property allows for uninterrupted focus while also offering plenty of opportunities to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Guests can enjoy the outdoor patio bench for a moment of calm or visit the separate bar area, which features a variety of drinks, seating stools, and comfortable sofa – a perfect place to unwind after a busy day.

The inn also offers convenient access to local attractions. Nearby diving shops provide excellent opportunities for exploring the vibrant underwater world of Yap. The hotel’s ocean-side pick-up and drop-off service make it easy to access these activities, ensuring that your leisure time is as effortless and enjoyable as possible. Additionally, several restaurants are located nearby, offering a variety of local and international dining options to suit all tastes.

Whether you are visiting for business, research, or simply seeking a peaceful getaway, O'Keefe Waterfront Inn provides the perfect balance of modern amenities, serene surroundings, and exceptional service. The combination of a professional atmosphere and a tranquil setting makes it an ideal destination for anyone looking to combine productivity with relaxation in one of the most peaceful locations in the Pacific. I highly recommend this exceptional inn for a seamless and...

I've stayed at most of the hotels here in Colonia, Yap and I have to say that O'Keefe's is by far one of my favorites. Each hotel has it's own pro's and con's but O'Keefe's just has a little something extra that draws you back.

It is worth the money to stay here for several reasons.

It is quaint and Cozy. The décor makes you think of southern antiques, as it is based off of the O'Keefe's of Savannah GA. There are only five rooms so you don't have to worry about large crowds and get a more personalized experience. The rooms are nice. Each of the rooms has a private balcony right on the water, equipped with a hose to wash of your potential salt/water items, and chairs. The rooms face east so you can watch the sun rise from your balcony if you wish. Each room has one large bed, its own TV, robe, towels, soap/shampoo, bottled water (2 complimentary others available at the desk for 1$), sink, wifi, coffee maker with coffee, a mini fridge and AC. Also, the showers are decent with plenty of hot water. The staff are always friendly. They are relaxed and welcoming. They have a really fun bar. This is a lesser known spot to have a nice relaxed drink. It has more of a lounge feel and is generally low key. There are several large cushy chairs to sit in. There is also an outside gazebo right on the water where you can see the Mnuw. Just remember its a tropical island so mosquitoes abound after dusk. Drink-wise, they are very accommodating at trying to make whatever you like (I even discovered a new favorite drink of mine here, the Rusty Nail) but supplies are limited on the island. You can order local Manta Ray brews (Gold, Hammerhead and Two Step AKA Light, Dark/Amber and a half and half mix) which comes in large glass bottles. Drinks can be charged to your room. They have a restaurant across the street, Oasis. It does a decent 5 and cheap lunch special. They deliver so you can eat at the bar. You can also order breakfast and have it served in your hotel room on a wooden tray. All can be charged to your room. They have a fun library that feels cozy, like someone's house. It has its own AC so you can curl up with a book and enjoy solitude. It is also a private yet communal space to watch a movie in with a group of friends. It has a good location. It is right on the water and in the heart of Colonia. Manta Ray Resort is right next door for diving and eating on the boat. The sound of the ocean will put you to sleep.

It is a great place to stay or just hang out. Good for couples, very close friends, or...
