We came to check the place before booking — and thank goodness we did. Staying here could’ve easily ruined the entire vacation.
The café was open, but when we placed our order and tried to pay in cash, the staff coldly told us they only accept cards. We mentioned reviews saying it’s possible to pay at the reception — they grimaced and reluctantly said, “We’ll write it down, go pay there.”
At the reception, we asked to speak to the manager — response: “He’s not here, there’s a deputy, but you’ll have to go find him somewhere on the territory.” I asked her to call him, but she said she couldn't. Only by chance she spotted him nearby and called him over. He came reluctantly, looked at us with arrogance, and while we tried translating our question into Swedish, it was clear that had we taken a few more seconds — he would’ve just walked away. Zero interest in guests. Unsurprisingly, the staff behaves the same — leadership sets the tone.
Indoor areas meant for shade are unbearably stuffy. Of course, there’s no air conditioning — but hey, who needs comfort in summer, right?
The toilets are incredibly cramped. They somehow squeezed in three stalls where even two would barely fit. Has anyone from management even tried using them?
We asked for a discount due to the long wait and poor service — but they refused. Greed is felt in every detail. Even if you want to change your bed linen, they just bring it and leave it on a shelf — you make the bed yourself. Or pay €5, but no one tells you that upfront. If you don’t ask — you don’t get it.
As for food — we ordered a pizza and two spaghetti dishes. Waited 60 minutes. The pizza wasn’t even sliced. And you don’t get your food at the café where you ordered — you have to walk to another building. Why? Who knows.
There’s one important thing to understand: it’s not the place itself that makes the impression — it’s the people you meet at each stage. And judging by this experience, image and customer care aren’t something they’re familiar with in 2025. You never know who your client is or how much they’re willing to spend in your business. But here, that basic principle seems completely ignored.
The prices? Outrageous. Small shops on site charge €4.5 for a local juice that costs €1 in a regular store. For what, exactly? For the disrespect? The heat? The toilets?
If you want to relax and enjoy your vacation — go elsewhere. You’ll end up doing everything yourself here and paying premium prices for the privilege. Luckily, there are far better places on the Åland Islands with real service and...
Read moreThe place is very beautiful, calm and lots of private space and private beaches to explore around. No other dining places or attractions around really. Unusually for a place where lots of people arrive with a bicycle and a tent there is no food stores nearby at all! Only the resorts restaurant and bistro that look amazing and the food is good, but the service is really one of the worst we have encountered. Untidy tables with dirty plates on them, no room to sit down. Not many people to serve, but pizza order still arrives 1 hour later. Early morning when checking out we learned that there is no breakfast on Sundays. They did not bother to tell us that during check in. No shops nearby and having to start cycling to the port early morning with no breakfast. Very bad service. Grilling place in the camping area a was very sad looking little...
Read moreWent with a couple of friends to get some pizzas to take with us. Two of my friends ordered pizzas that they asked to get without ham, but when the pizzas arrived they were with ham. We told the waitress and the pizza bakers that there had been a mistake, but they didnt offer to make us new pizzas, insted they just started to try and get the ham out of them, which made my vegetarian friend quite uncomfortable. They didnt offer us any compensation, instead the pizza baker was very unfriendly and asked us why we didnt just order the regular pizzas without any alternations. We understand that mistakes happen but we were very disappointed with the way they acted, and blaming us for their mistake was incredibly rude. Pizzas were okay. Wont be...
