Arctic Circle Hotel — Hotel in Eastern Lapland

Slept for one night in this snowhotel, which is an absolutely amazing experience. There is a warm section, where you can take a shower, have breakfast ans a cold section, the actual rooms where you sleep. The room itself is a kind of iglo with a bed made of ice with light in it and a matrass above. You can not take anything with you in your room, you need to put your belongings in a locker elsewhere. If you want to go to the bathroom you need to walk for a few minutes to the warm section. You sleep in a special sleepingbag which is warm enough for the night. In the snowhotel there is also a weddingchappel and an icebar. A must when you are in Lapland but if you do not like to camp you probably need...

We stayed here as part of our lapland holiday with Canterbury travel. The rooms were basic but comfortable, plenty of room for a family of 4. Only downside is they are like a sauna!! There's no window to open to get air in, yes it's cold outside but it's too hot inside, I struggled to sleep. Another family asked for the heating to be turned down and they said it takes 2 days to feel the difference. Each room should really have its own heating as everyone feels the cold/heat differently. Отель конечно всего на одну ночь, для экзотики - зато на какую.... Стоимость за один 2-х местный номер порядка 250 евро. Дверей в "номерах" нет, только шторки, поэтому мы все вещи оставляли в машине. Отличный ресторан - кабачок. Вы так же можете поесть в ресторане изо льда. В меню лосятина и оленина (правда десерты никакие). Есть сувенирная лавка, баня и живой белый олень в качестве любителя постояльцев. Весь "отель" кроме главного корпуса-рецепции сделан из снега и льда. "Кровати" тоже ледяные, устланные оленьими шкурами, так же вам обязательно выдадут спальный мешок. В отеле есть Ледяная часовня где празднуются свадьбы, очень красиво. Ребенка с собою мы брать ночевать не стали, побоялись. Спиться на удивление хорошо, в "номере" температура 0 градусов. Так же вы можете сходить в баню, маленький бассейн на улице, классическая парная и инфракрасная камера вырезанная в глыбе льда. Комната отдыха - маленький деревянный сруб с камином. В общем нам понравилось очень....
