Hotel Uitonniemi — Hotel in Eastern Lapland

Can I jus say a massive wow this place was cosiest place we have ever stayed it met more than our expectations. The lovely lady mya who does brekkie and loads more helped us with our bus home, she is amazin so kind gentle and jus lovely. The other guy who is in partnership forgot his name was also jus as amazing. He took us ice fishing we didn't get a bite but it wad an experience to b on a frozen lake. Then he cooked us lovely meal in eve on our last night and also took us to husky safari which was also amazing. The husky dogs r so so friendly loving and well behaved the owner deserves an award she works so hard and the dogs respect her so very much. The other animals also r so well looked after and were so talkative for attention it was so funny but also amazin. U then had chance to cook a sausage on a log fire in cosy hut and hve berry juice but hot and cinnamon biscuits. Jus perfect every aspects of this trip was more than we thought and we r so so sad to hve left and b home. But will recommend to evryone and anyone. The cabin was like a 2 bedroom flat with kitchen fridge microwave lovely beds jus perfect I can't put into words how amazing this place was. It was a lovely walk to the little village where u hve lidls some pizza kebab places, local grocery shops petrol stations which u can also get burgers chips nuggets and sit in and eat too. We found the only pub which is by the petrol station forgive me forgot name hut they r amazing in there too friendly will give u any help u need they hve darts board and locals play cards which is lovely they r very accepting. We want to tell the world about this place as its worth a visit even if u did 3 days like us. It wasn't enough. The views from cabin too r incredible u wldnt believe till u see. Wld love to take all my family to this place. Only bummer is it takes an hour from airport but it's beautiful journey and incredible how they drive in...

Actually I got sort of stranded in Kemijärvi -I must admit because my good old Defender had a problem... the focus on my trip was camping, preferably in the ‘wild’ but that suddenly came to a stop... how lucky I was to choose this beautiful Hotel to spend my time. Situated next to the lake it felt ( even quite close to a road above) like a true oasis with a postcard view from the wonderful breakfast room as well as the fantastic sauna. The rooms are beautiful, very clean with all wooden walls and floors. A kitchenette, a good looking bathroom and a nice little seating outside. The sauna is just fantastic and you can sign in by the day to have it for your own -for an hour or an hour and half and enjoy this peaceful time. The retreat room is simply brilliant with yet another wood stove and plenty of space to enjoy the view and to relax. Breakfast between 08.00 and 09.00 is beautiful.|Above all this you have very, very lovely and attending hosts... its a true happy spot and I feel lucky to have been there! If ever I go to Northern Finland again they for sure will see me...

How to say? Everything is (almost) perfect!|Of course, not a 5* hotel, but really a 5* typical place.|Wood sauna is as authentic as you might dream.|Rooms are large and confortable with a small kitchen.|The restaurant offers high quality family food, home made pastries and sweets.||And the best are Johanna, Vilma and the chef. Nice, dedicated and friendly. A prefect combinaison of efficacy and kindness.||Rather than raveniemi (unless you like herds of tourists) come to this wonderful place for icefishing (go to Kari shop) husky or snowmobile safari.
